Enjoy!!!!!
**Amal's POV**
Sitting in the car with Aysha, Thume and Muhammad, I couldn't stop wondering the fact that I'll be going to my husband's house after this event which we are heading to.
Yesterday was fun. After the yinin biki my friends and sisters gave me a suprised bridal shower. Yeah even though I'm not in support of this marriage I still had my dream of a surprise bridal shower fulfilled by them and I all love them for that.
I jolted back from my thought after feeling the instant stop of the car which was parked immediately outside the kamu hall.
I was ushered out by Aisha and there was announcement on the bride's arrival which the DJ played the entry song. With my friend's dancing we all entered the hall, me praying the soil would just swallow me up.
The groom's family came and there was negotiations between them and my friends before they finally got to see my face. Some sprayed perfume on me while some where with bakhoor.
The groom and his friends arrived not later and the event ended with everyone dancing and my friends forcing me to dance too.
We left the kamu venue around 4pm and I was taken back home. I took my scented bath and was sprayed with bakhoor. Sakina, my beautifician was very sad as that would be our last meeting. I was happy I didn't have to be choked with bakhoor again but at the same time going to miss Sakina too, no lies she's a very nice woman.
After my bath, I was dressed into a pure white laffaya with flowery patterns on it. It was once my mother's. Ya' Ameenah told me that mom was taken to her house with the same lifaya and wanted me to were it on my wedding but then she wasn't there to put it on me, so instead Ya'Ameenah helped to put it on.
I was taken to my mother's side where my aunties were to do the fadan aure ( wedding precautions or lecture ). I cried like a lost baby who doesn't know anyone. I didn't even hear the last part of their warnings cause I was all a mess then. After I was taken to my father's side where he and Ummah were seated waiting for me. Ummah gave me some advice before leaving me with my father.
"I know I haven't been the best, caring and understanding father but here this old man is asking for your forgiveness. God bless you and your marriage. Insha Allah this union would be noting but kair. May God bless you with lovely children and a happy married life. Here this is for you. Don't open it till you get to your house and the rest would be given to you by Mujaheed at your house." He said giving me a gift bag. Ya Ameenah told us the cars sent by the groom's family had arrived. Mouthing a thank you to my father and with a hug which ya Ameenah had to pull me away from him we left for the car.
I, Aisha, Thume and Ya Zainab with Muhammad driving headed to my in-laws' house.
How weird does it sound to call it my in-laws' house. I kept sobbing in the car thinking of leaving all my childhood memories with the house behind just for a man that doesn't even love me.
We were welcomed with open arms and their also his aunties gave me some advice too. After that, we were summoned to a room were a make-up artist was waiting for my arrival. I got my face washed before the make-up artist started her work of magic on me not after I worked her not to put heavy makeup on me.
After then Fatiyyah brought my dress which was a pale pink A-shaped dress with silver designs and was paired with a silver heel and clutch which made up the look. My head tie was tied nicely around my head by the make-up artist into a turban.
I thanked her before she left and Muhammad called Aisha telling her they had arrived.
We went out with Aisha helping me to raise my dress up. On reaching there I saw the last person I wanted to see at that time waiting calmly by the door like a gentle man he opened the door and helped me in before closing it and entering the other side.
Aisha was by Muhammad who was driving while me and my so called husband sat quietly in the back seat. Thume was with Ayman while everyone was going individually.
We reached the dinner hall and with a grand entrance we entered and sat on our respected position. Some of our friend's and family gave a small speech about us before we cut the cake and we were forced to feed each other and dance together too.
The event ended with everyone dancing his/her selves out before everyone started heading home.
We left for my home around 1am with my friends and siblings.
Hamman Mujaheed handed me a car key which left me confused but then after he told me it was from Abbah I thanked him with my eyes tearing up. After escorting us the girls didn't let the the groom and his friends enter the house till they paid the kudin siyan baki(a money given by the groom and his friends to the bride's friends).
Everyone left leaving me with Aisha, Thume, Hanan and Salma with some of Salim's friends. Aisha and thume helped me change into a simple material gown after taking my bath.
It was late so they decided to live and we bade them good bye me with teary eyes.
After coming back in the house I finally had time to look at the well furnished parlour. Ya Zainab's words didn't even do justice to the house.
"Are you going to keep one looking at the house like a village girl or going to sleep" I heard a voice behind me which jolted me out. I rolled my eyes ignoring him and continued scrutinizing the parlor.
The royal blue and golden colour theme. It is definitely the royal parlour Ya Zainab kept talking about.
Feeling my heavy eyes, I left the scrutinizing for tomorrow and left for my room.
Changing into a comfortable night gown after too much of opening and closing of boxes I hoped on the bed and was about to close my eyes when I heard the door open.
Salim came in and sat on the bed before looking at me.
"Perform ablution and meet me at my room," Salim said his head popping into the room.
I performed ablution and found him in my room seated calmly on a prayer mat another one near him with a hijab on top.
We prayed together and read a little bit of the Qur'an and after that he placed his hand on my head and prayed.
I smiled a bit atleast he didn't forget the Sunnah while hating me.
"Stop smiling like that it's creepy," he said bringing me back to reality.
I rolled my eyes and stood up. I removed my hijab and folded it with my prayer mat. I kept them in the bedside cushion and headed to bed which felt so inviting.
"Can you Please off the lights on your way out," I requested my back flat on the bed.
"Sit up let's talk he said in a commanding tone and I found myself doing what he said.
"About some rules and regulations in this house" he said.
"My rules are: you can't go into my room, you don't get into my personal life, and stay away from me, you have no business with what I do, let me leave my life in peace even though we are friends" he said the last part looking straight into my eyes.
"Are you done? cause I'm sleepy" I said slipping back in bed and snuggling more into my comforter. "And please close the door when you're done, don't forget to switch the lights, goodnight" I added holding up my tears and turning to the side.
Hearing the shutting of the door I let the tears out. Crying myself to sleep i miss home so much.
