**3rd person's POV**
**2 months later**
Seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours, to weeks, weeks to months and two months had passed meaning Eight months to Amal's wedding and two months to Aisha's.
Amal had been busy combining studies and Aisha's wedding preparation. She has been hyper this past weeks seeing that she is the Maid Of Honour and Aisha's bridal shower would be organized by her since it's a surprise.
School has been hectic they started their semester exams the previous week and would write their last paper upper week.
Seated on the swing in there garden admiring the nature, she tried reading but ended up thinking of her future. Time had been very fast exam has started with all the wedding pressure on her everything is too much. Her marriage, The exam, Aisha's marriage and all the hard time she's going through.
Her phone rang jolting her out of her thoughts. She pick the call without checking the caller ID.
"Hello where are you? Why are you not in your room?" She heard her best friend's voice.
"I'm at the garden are you seriously here?" She asked suddenly filling excited.
"No I'm just asking." Aisha replied her in a sarcastic manner and hung up before she could say anything else.
She heard foot steps and stood up to welcome her friend.
At Salim's house Hajiya Aisha had been busy setting the
'kayan lefe'. She was suppose to travel together with Ya Safiya the day before yesterday but Alhaji Alhussain asked them to add a week before leaving. She had been very busy together with Fatiyyah and Ya Safiya preparing everything that would be needed.
Salim has not been himself since after the dinner with the Ibrahim Family. He had told Sakinah everything but she being her it didn't even bother her, unlike every other girl she even told him to obey his father and they could just be friends. He also had accepted his faith but still he was angry about the fact that his father didn't bother to ask for his opinion.
He had been very disturbed with her image. He couldn't remove Amal's image from his head since after the day he saw her first. He felt something while staring at her but he couldn't tell what it was. He anyways didn't care telling himself it was the hatred he had for her.
Fatiyyah on the other hand had been having some weird feelings since when she met Amal's cousin, Walid, but didn't know what was causing it. She has been lost now adays thinking of some weird things that she couldn't take her mind off. She wanted to tell Ya Safiya but she thought twice about it so she decided not to.
Ya Asma'u is Salim's elder sister who looked alot like his twin sis. She is married with three kids, Abdulrahman, Sa'eedah and Habiba called Amatullah. She travelled to Kano from Abuja with her husband Bashir who came for a work conference and had gone back after spending two days while she came for her brother's wedding preparation.
Ya Adil too leaves in Abuja with his wife Fatima, 'Baby', with their kids, Sadiq, Maryam, Hafiz and Iman. He is Salim's eldest brother but they aren't that close.
They are five in their family excluding their parents. Ya Adil, Ya Asma'u, Salim, Sadiq and Fatiyyah.
"Fatiyyah give me back my phone!" Shouted Sadiq running after her. She took his phone more of snatched it from his hand running out of the kitchen. He has been looking at his phone and smiling while Fatiyyah was telling him something he wasn't listening so she got angry and snatched the phone from him.
"OMG, Ya Sadiq is in love!" She shouted wiggling her brows putting her left hand on her chest like a girl who just got asked out by her crush.
"Keep quite and give me back my phone." He said in a warning tone.
"So Hafsat is the the lucky girl?" She asked him ignoring his last statement making him blush a bit thinking she didn't notice.
"Wow! So my brother can blush? I already love her from her name." She said which made him grin handing him his phone. He took his phone turning to go but was stopped.
"Ya Sadiq Please can you take me to her?" She asked giving him her irresistible puppy face.
"She's not my girl friend okay, she's just a friend so better wipe that stupid mind of yours and know that we are just friends." He bursted angrily but the thing is that he really likes Hafsat, he just got angry about the fact that he couldn't man-up and confess to her. It wasn't just that, she is in love with someone and he could see it that they are happy together.
"Kai! Ayman live me alone." Salim said to his best friend who has been asking about Amal's looks.
Ayman decided to visit his best friend since it has been a while since he came to the house.
"Okay, I'll stopped, But what's wrong with you?" He asked noticing his friends mood.
"It's just ehm nothing serious." He said.
"Just tell me whether it is or not".
"It's just I went to Sakinah's house to tell her everything but do you know what she said, 'You should obey your father, we were never meant to be'. I can't just comprehend what she meant," He told his friend what had been bothering him mimicking her voice making Ayman burst into fist of laughter.
"Really! She said that, how many times do I have tell you that she doesn't love you". He said turning his face to a serious one.
"But why?" He asked his friend not understanding him.
"She is in love with someone, that's the reason." He answered pursing to take in his friend's reaction before continuing.
"Don't worry, we plan and Allah plans but his plans are the best, Allah is the best of all planners, Sabr Salim patience is the best, you should accept your faith, You love her and she never loved you. Do you know how hurt you would have been if you asked her to marry and she told you she never loved you?
Stupid, Lost, betrayed, cheated, unwanted that is how you would feel. I know you were planning your marriage together but hers was an act while you were serious but you should thank Allah for helping you get out of her trap. She might have a plan to even date you, there is something that she wants and she accepted you as her lover just because of it." He said trying to knock some senses into his best friend's head.
"NO, SHE CAN NEVER DO THAT!" He snapped at his friend suddenly feeling angry at the harsh words he said about her.
"You can't see but people around you can see. You trust no one now adays." He tried again.
"MAYBE YOU ARE THE ON WHO I SHOULDN'T TRUST." He snapped standing up from his sitting position.
Ayman was hurt by his best friend's words. They have been together since childhood and all he could get is his best friend's hurtful words and all over a girl who doesn't even value him.
"I know you don't trust me but I trust you. You should know that and just think about what I told you, Allah Hafiz." With that he sprinted out of the room and out of the house.
Salim knew his friend was telling him the truth but he couldn't just bring himself to believe it. Out of anger he had hurt his friend's feeling which he had never even in their worst fights.
He did what he had never done just to please everyone and get his friend back. He himself didn't know why he took that step but everyone seems happy with what he did.
He went to Ayman's house and apologized but Ayman being himself he forgave his friend. Salim ask him to escort him somewhere which he gladly accept.
**Amal's POV**
"Keh hurry up we need to go now or they would close." I shouted to Aisha who is taking a shower in my bathroom.
"Ok, just a minute." She shouted back.
Apparently we are going to the Fashion designer who is in charge of making Aisha's dress to choose her the design and all that.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Knock! Knock!
"come in" Amal answered after hearing a Knock on the door.
"You have visitors." Jummai said coming in.
"Visitors, who are they?" Amal asked not remembering any of her friends coming over.
"They didn't tell me anything, they are two men and were greeting Abba he's the one that told me to call you."
"Okay tell him I'm coming" I said thinking of who they might be.
"Let's go" Aisha said startling me. I didn't even notice her come out of the bathroom.
"Okay, let's check the visitors first then we'll go after and get your things." I said rubbing powder on my face
I took my bag and slipped on my black flip flops before heading for the door.
"Do you have any clue who they might be?" I asked Aisha wondering.
"No, I'm suppose to ask you the question" she replied before we went silently taking fast steps towards the visitors parlor curiously.
"Assalamu alaikum" we said in unison entering the palour.
And I stopped dead in my track making Aisha stop too.
