I sent him the text five minutes ago with an immediate response stating he would call me within the next five minutes and that he just needed to take care of something really quick. I paced back and forth in the office, nervous as hell. I mean, this isn’t just another person I’m going to be talking to. This is the brother, the BIG brother, the BIG MARINE brother, a guardian to the woman I love, uncle to my daughter, father to Miles, my nephew of sorts and even though he is all that and more, the biggest thing is he’s the guy that will kick my ass into the next century if I do anything out of line.
And he’ll get his Marine buddies to help because like our family, they travel in packs.
I don’t plan to do anything that warrants an asskicking…but I don’t know his temper.
