Did I just fell asleep? Oh crap. I should be defusing those landmines. I still can't believe that someone just did that to me.
Where was the command center? It should be at least here isn't? Well that's my guess.
I stood up from my lying on the bed. I could feel my sweat in this warm area. I started walking around and checking all the stuffs I encountered.
Wait a minute. How long was I asleep? I could now see the sun through the window as it's setting on a horizon.
What a beautiful scenery. Except there is a horde passing by the horizon. I could see some of them.
Now back to my job, where was that command center? Was it hidden under the table? The bed? Or the wall?
I checked each stuffs around. Suddenly, I felt something on the wall. There was a bump.
I removed the cover. There, I saw different buttons. All of them are lighted in red. Now, how to deactivate all of this?
I took inspection on the bottom part. There was a white and black button. I'm pretty sure that one of this could detonate all of them or otherwise.
What should I pick? This decision is making me anxious. If ever I failed on this one, it'll be the death for everyone.
White is the color of life while black is for death. So meaning, I should choose white as it symbolizes life, defusing all of the bombs.
I slowly pressed the button. Suddenly, I had realized something. I checked where my hands is and indeed, I pressed the black button.
"Crap!"
I squatted down the ground in fear. Just what did I tried to do? I'm pretty sure I chose white earlier. What is happening?
Time passed. No noise can be heard. I checked the windows and noticed something. I must have chosen the right one.
Black represents life for Hikari. Or so that's my thought. I can't be too sure without knowing him that much. Now, I should press any button to trigger the distraction.
On his way to save Karri, CJ ran and searched for the whole area. In just a few minutes, the horde will soon reach the place.
Where could Hikari's headquarters be? If I'm going to something like that, it should be in a high place so it's easy to see the effect of what I'm doing. That must have been it. I'll search the top floors.
"Wait up!"
Someone spoke from behind me. I was in the middle of running. I stopped and turned around. It was Rias.
"I'm glad I caught up to you. Let's search for Karri together."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Besides, the swarm will be coming in just a few minutes. Surely, I'll be at help for you."
I nodded. We then both ran together inside the mall and went through the stairs. There were different rooms and I'm guessing that some belonged to the guards.
"Let's open all of them quickly."
I said to Rias as we reached the last floor. Karri should be around here. If not, then we'll have to check the other floors as well.
"Karri!"
We shouted every time the door opens. Luckily, the guards seems to be at duty as the explosion triggered a noise that could be heard by the zombies.
"Karri! Are you here?"
Suddenly, I opened a room full of royal stuffs. It was as if we're in a castle. I saw two persons on the bed. One was on the top with a knife in him. The other was being threatened or something.
"Stop that!"
I shouted. In my surprise, it was Karri that was being pointed with the knife. While the other one has the same huge smile as what we first encountered in this place.
10 Minutes earlier, Karri made a decision to choose which button to pick to cause a distraction. But suddenly, she haven't expected the next things to come.
I pushed a random button right near the middle. It triggered an explosion. My job here is done. I should escape now already.
As I was about to open the door, someone pushed it fast. I was hit right straight to my head. My vission got blurry, but I manage to stood up. I slowly recognized the face in front of me. It was Hikari.
"So it's you huh. Oh you little girl, how dare you get a hold of my precious landmines."
Hikari started to move and grabbed my neck. He slowly raised it, causing me to be out of breath.
"Now, you'll know the consequences of interfering with my work!"
I was thrown to the bed. With such a huge force, I can't move at all. Slowly, my vision turned blurry.
Hikari came closer and pointed a knife in me. This must be the end. I'm lucky to be a savior for everyone.
"Stop that!"
Someone shouted from behind. I was shocked. I knew that voice. The same voice that commended me by holding back my fear before.
"Oh? A backup huh. It seems your plan must have been a success. Congratulations."
Karri was lying on that bed. I should do something. Rias was behind me and will surely become a backup in case I can't handle this thing.
Hikari stood up and then faced me. I prepared myself as anything could happen at this point. Suddenly, Rias walked in front of me.
"Let me handle this."
"What? Wait!"
"You don't have any experience to this things right? Then, I'm more suitable for this."
Hikari still has his black hoodie that covers his face. I haven't seen his white teeth for some time now. Well I guess, he's not happy on what's happening right now.
I stepped aside as I could feel that Hikari's about to attack. The action of joining them in the middle of the fight occurred to me though, I felt like I was just interfering with Rias's work.
Hikari ran while holding the knife. Rias was already in a defensive stance.
Finally, Hikari reached Rias and did his first attack. Rias manage to push his hands, though the knife haven't fell off.
Hikari's left foot raised and was about to hit Rias. Luckily, She blocked it off. Rias seems to be having a hard time as Hikari got the upper hand.
I decided to make my way to Karri. She must have been tired from all of the things that happened.
"Hey Karri, are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah."
"Let's move away from the two. It would be hard for Rias if ever we become involved around here."
I helped Karri stood up by pulling her hand. Rias and Hikari are still on it and I had a feeling that it would take longer than expected.
We moved on the side when suddenly, Hikari threw a knife on us. It almost hit me as I could see the knife right after in front of us.
My eyes widened. I checked up on Rias and she was again, having a hard time. I pulled Karri's hands as we went forward.
In an instance, Rias was threw off on our way. Hikari must have noticed that we're sneaking out.
"There's no escape."
I saw the same smile as what we encountered the first time in here. Hikari was desperate. It should be my turn now.
"Take Rias outside."
I ordered Karri. I then decided to ran and clenched my fist. I could do this in one hit.
As I got closer, I realized that the smile was still on his face. It was as if it's stuck on his face forever.
"Ha."
I hit Hikari and flinched a little. Though, I could feel something hot around my body. I turned my head down and realized it.
I was stabbed.
