The trees sway despite that I can't feel the wind. The moonlight is our only source of light. Darkness lurks around as trees blocks the light. A very few stars can be seen from above as they travel on space.
Rias was in front of me looking hopeless. Perhaps the feeling of sadness stays on her. What caused it to be like this?
"You noticed?"
Rias smiled. Her lips shows the sign of happiness except her eyes tells the opposite. I could see right through it. The sadness.
"Why?"
"It's nothing."
Rias averted her eyes as if she doesn't want to talk about it. Slowly, she turned away and continued walk.
"If you have problems, I could at least try to listen to it."
Rias stopped walking. I said something I didn't expected I would be. I don't know...
I decided to walk behind her. Though, she already stopped which is just catching up to her. Suddenly, in a fast motion, Rias turned to me and stick her head to my body.
I was taller than Rias which makes her head face my left elbow. I could feel the tears falling from her eyes. I then put my right hand to her head. I felt like comforting her.
"I failed to protect the people dear to me. My family, my people and even Christine."
I stayed quiet. Thinking about what she's going through, it must have been hard since she doesn't want to lose anyone. And besides, it happened already a few times to her which makes it even worse.
"Don't worry about it, we're here to protect each other. From now on, don't face your problems by yourself okay?"
Time passed and Rias got her composure back. We went to the van afterwards and decided to talk while guarding. Boredom could appear if ever only one of us is assigned here.
"Sorry about messing up your clothes."
"It's fine. It will dry up later."
Now that she mentions it, I feel sticky. Though, I'm glad that Rias feels much better now.
"Christine pretty much resembles my sister."
"How so?"
"Well, the way she talks and how she interacts with each other."
So that's the reason why she's desperate to help Christine... I wonder where she is now.
Hours passed. The sun rose at the sky. Light started to return back to it's usual state. I'm here looking at it, together with Rias.
"Let's go."
Jaira appeared from the back. We then went straight inside the van. Rodner, Karri and Loraine was still sleeping. I'm sure they will wake up soon.
We continued our journey to the unknown. We're still at the forest which makes it harder to travel. It wasn't that long when the van made it's way to the highway and had a smooth ride.
I checked on Rias, only to notice that she's already asleep. I realized that haven't gotten enough sleep too. I closed my eyes and cleared my mind.
"Hey yo. How are you doing?"
The person beside me asked. I looked at him and realized who it is.
"Rodner?"
"Yeah? Why?"
I stood up in surprise. I looked around on where am I. It was the school. I checked the window and there's no metal that blocks the vision from inside the school to the outside town.
"A zombie apocalypse will happen soon."
I said in fear. Rodner looked bewildered. Telling him at this time would only cause confusion.
"Hurry up! We need weapons now."
"Wait a minute."
Rodner stopped me from moving by grabbing my hands. I looked at his eyes in telling him to let go of me.
"Are you talking about apocalypse? Isn't that ridiculous?"
"I'm dead serious about this. Later on, a zombie would appear and start attacking our teacher."
"Sit first. Let's try talking this out."
I sat on my chair. I remembered that I had scissor on my bag and so I hurried to get it. It wasn't that long when Rodner started talking.
"So, how did you know all these things? Did you came from the future or something?"
"Something like that."
Wait. Where am I before these things happened? What am I doing here?
In my surprise, the class started. The teacher went it's to the front and started discussing. I prepared my scissors to attack whenever the monster came in.
Hours passed. Nothing happened. It was only a discussion and random learning stuff. I haven't took note of it since my attention was at the door of our room.
The class ended and it's time for lunch. I went to the canteen with Rodner. I still kept the scissor with me as something bad could happen.
"See? No apocalypse is happening."
I stayed quiet. I don't understand anything at all. I'm sure the zombie would start attacking earlier ago.
We started eating peacefully. The day ended and nothing unusual happened. I went home with Rodner and talked about random stuff.
Suddenly, a zombie appeared while we're walking. In my surprise, it started talking.
"You thought you could escape reality?"
I reached out for my scissors only to notice that it's not on its usual place. Rodner froze in fear. Here, I can't move even I tried doing so.
"This time, you'll be killed CJ."
I still can't move. Suddenly, the zombie jumped and moved closer to me.
A disgusting liquid fell through its mouth. I could threw up anytime in by just seeing it.
"Yummy."
The zombie said. In my shock, I was eaten in whole. I could see Rodner looking scared and yet still can't move. I cried for help.
I was out of breath. I got back to my vision. I scanned the whole area and found out that all of that was a dream. I was here, on the back of the van, with Rias on the front. I checked outside through the window and realized that we're in a gas stop. We must have been probably lacking on gas.
I was sweating hard even though the air conditioner was open. That dream, was disturbing.
