Chapter 5: Rias

The people that just save us from this disaster was told to go to the principal's office. Rias went off too...     "I can't believe they manage to survived the outside world."     "Me too..."     Loraine replied in my words. We still can't believe that people could live outside like that. Then that means, our family could be safe somewhere right now.     "Let's rest for now."     I said while searching for a place to rest. On my way, I heard some people talking. It was the newcomers. Having them in this place is a good thing as they can help us when problems arise. Rias was walking beside the principal and seems like they are talking about something.     "This place is good. Thank you for letting us stay."     "Your welcome. As long as you can help us, you are welcome here."     As I stared at the newcomers, Rias looked at me too. Our eyes met and I don't have a choice but to smile. She walked towards me as I just looked at her.     "Nice aiming."     "Oh. Thanks."     "So how did you survived the place outside?"     Loraine asked. Whenever someone new here, they are usually curious about what the place outside is. I guess they can't help but ask something like that.     "So where do we start... I guess it was when I'm presenting our new brand to the office. We are then told to evacuate the place. When all of us got down, it was a complete chaos. Luckily I practiced self defense and a little bit of karate back in the day. I then survived the city and went straight to this town. We met different people then one day, a mutant zombie showed up which cause for us to separate. Then a day passed, we followed the mutant zombie until it reached this place."     We were amazed by her story. It's like the day became a storytelling one. I guess this is what we call an escape in reality huh.     Rias stopped for a moment after telling her story. She was staring at someone. When I looked at where she was looking, I saw Christine. Well, it can't help since they are together before.     "Christine!"     "Rias!"     They both went on their way to hugged each other. It was as if they were separated for years. Though it was only just days.     "I'm sorry for leaving you behind. I swear we tried to search for you."     "No it's fine. I'm lucky to pass by this place."     They are reunited in this school. I wonder, will there be more positive things that will come to our lives. Or it could be more despair that's waiting for us. We'll just have to survive like what the president ordered us. Ah, my head's hurt when thinking about this stuffs.     We decided to go back to our designated rooms. I checked my phone for the recent post of the public. The first thing that popped up was a picture of a huge half sphere in the middle of the town. It was our school with the metal barriers. Only the metals can be seen outside since it blocks the school.     The post has a caption of "What is that building? Is that the source of infection? Or is it a safe zone where we could stay? Please let me know. We lack food source right now."     What should I do? Comment? Reply? I'll need supervision from the principal if I'm planning to do something like that. I guess I'll show it sometime now. I decided to turn off my phone to save battery.     As I was about to enter our classroom, I saw Rodner leaning in one of the doors. He looks like he's planning to do something.     "Hey CJ. Come here." Rodner said.     I walked towards him. It seems like he is about to do something serious. I wonder what he is thinking about?          "Aren't you curious about what's happening outside?"     "What?"     I guess Rodner was planning to go outside... But how will he do that? Is there some sort of secret exit gate around here? I'm sure there has to be like that.     "I mean, we haven't seen that much ever since the lock down. Don't you want to check how it looks outside?"     "Yeah. But how are we going to check it?"     "See that huge cylinder building in the middle of our school? On top of that, a vantage point can be seen."     Oh that weird building huh. Rodner knew a lot of things around here. I guess he really did bothered to check the whole school before when he told me that he's going to do so.     "How did you knew all about that?"     "I always listen to the guards you know? So, would you like to come with me?"     I stopped for a second. Getting caught won't hurt right? The principal won't get mad to us by just doing that. It's not something illegal I guess... And besides, I wanted to check the outside world. I should go then.     "Sure."              We went downstairs. I realized that blood had already dried out around here. Who know where it came from. Could be from us humans or those monsters.     While walking, I thought about how many days has passed ever since the start of this apocalypse. How long could we stay in this school. After some time, I'm sure something terrible things could happen and it will force us to do different actions.     "Hey, don't space out."     "Ah yeah."     "So, what do you think about Rias?"     What's up with that question. Why is it all of a sudden?     "A normal survivor I guess?"     "Her moves earlier today is not of a normal survivor."     Now that Rodner mentioned it... Rias really moved like on action movies. She's fast, good in handling the situation and could easily kill a lot of those monsters. Well I guess learning different moves from early days could help in this apocalypse.     "She learned those from her middle school right?"     "Yeah right."     All of a sudden, Rodner stopped moving. He then looked around for some other reasons. It wasn't that long when he started to speak.     "Never mind."
