Regina's face filled with fear as the door opened, but her anxiety dissipated when Dr. Kan walked in. She exhaled in relief. "Ah, thank goodness it's you, Doctor," Regina said, placing her hand on her chest. " My heart skipped a beat." "I'll take my leave, Regina. Get well soon," Paul said, before bidding her farewell and heading home. "Mrs Regina, I'm delighted to see you, and you are also looking healthy. This is an excellent sign. You'll be discharged soon, and I will personally monitor your progress. Your quick recovery is remarkable." Dr Kan replied with a broad smile. "Thank you, Doctor," Regina replied with a gentle smile. "I can't wait to start this new journey with my baby girl." Dr. Kan jotted down some notes and left, leaving Regina to relax in the joy of her recovery. Some hours later, David arrived at the hospital holding a bouquet of Regina's favorite flower (Daisy flower ) and his mother holding a basket filled with fruits, homemade foods and beverages. David opened the door to the room where Regina was, his face lightened up and filled with smiles. " Momma, you're looking so good." David teased Regina. "Stop it darling" Regina replied, smiling. " David looked at Regina, his eyes filled with adoration. "You're a strong woman, Regina," he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. Regina's heart skipped a beat as David praised her. She felt cherished and loved. Without another word, David drew Regina into his arms, their lips meeting in a soft, passionate kiss. Regina's hand wrapped around David's neck, deepening the kiss. Just then, David's mother broke down that moment with a soft cough. " Bring out my grandchild's lover birds." She said with a gentle smile as David and Regina withdrew from themselves with smiles on their faces. "Mother, you must be so eager to see our pink jet," Regina replied as she pressed the call button. Just then, a nurse walked in. "Good evening, How are you doing ma?" She asked, facing Regina. "I'm fine nurse. We are ready to see my baby." Regina replied with a gentle smile. "Ohh, granny is ready to see her grandchild and your husband is ready to see his little princess." She replied with a broad smile revealing her dimples. "Yes, we are." David, Regina, David's mother echoed together as they burst into laughter. " I will be back in a jiffy with our little princess." She replied with a gentle smile as she left to get the child to the pediatric unit. A few minutes later, the nurse arrived with a warm smile, gently pushing a baby cot into the room. "Time for bonding," she said. Regina's eyes lit up as the nurse carefully lifted her tiny bundle of joy from the cot and placed her in Regina's arms. As Regina cradled her daughter, tears of joy welled up in her eyes. In admiration , she looked at her child's delicate features. David and his mother stood beside them, both hearts overflowing with love for their family. "We are now a complete and happy family," David said, smiling. "Just give me one more grandchild." David's mom teased them, glancing at Regina and David. David laughed, shaking his head. "Mother, let's focus on this little one we have now!" Regina smiled." Besides, we need to enjoy every moment with her before she grows up." David's mom replied. "You're right, of course. I just can't wait to carry more babies!" She leaned to kiss her granddaughter's forehead. Moments later Regina fell asleep with her child in her arms. David withdrew the child from her arms and placed her gently into the baby's coat, and he left with his mother, leaving behind a note: "You feel asleep sweetheart, I'll be back tomorrow for you and the little princess. I love you". As morning's warm light showed into the room, Regina opened her eyes, feeling a new sense of renewed joy, strength, and peace. Just then, Dr Kan walked into the room, his face filled with smiles. "Mrs Regina, Good morning to you, How are you doing today?" Regina chuckled. " As you can see, doctor, I am doing great. Thanks for your efforts." "You don't need to thank me, I am only doing my job, Ma'am," he replied. "Besides, I have good news for you." He said with a gentle smile. "Really, share it please." Regina replied in excitement. "You will be discharged today." He replied with a broad smile. "Wow, finally, I am so happy. My husband needs to hear this." Regina replied with a broad smile and excitement on her face. "Yes, we have informed him. He will be here soon to take you home. Besides, do not forget to come for post-natal care." "Yes, I won't forget that, Doctor." Regina replied, while the doctor took down some notes and left. Suddenly, David burst into the room, staring at Regina. "Ahh! Sweetheart, you scared me!" she exclaimed, her hand on her chest. "Sorry about that," David said, holding out a designer package box. "I bought you some things to celebrate your discharge." Regina's eyes widened as she opened the box, revealing a stunning blue dress and sleek black heels. " Aww, thank you, darling!" she said, admiring the outfit. After putting on the dress, Regina looked at her reflection. It suited her perfectly, showing her curves and complementing her complexion. "You look so beautiful." David said, staring in admiration. "No one would guess you're a new mom." Regina smiled, feeling radiant. " You always know the right words to make me feel special." As they chatted, they packed Regina's belongings and prepared to leave.
