I stormed into the cabin, slamming the door against the wall with a deafening c***k. It fell apart before me.
"Veronica!" I yelled at the top of my voice. Then my eyes met hers. She was already on her feet before I reached the living room, like she'd been expecting me.
Her expression hardened the second she saw me.
