"W──We a──are lo──lost," Jayden said through his chattering teeth.
Darby looked around. He knew Jayden was right, but there was no way he could give up. Krill had insisted there was a small cave around here and he was going to find it. He knew that they had to find or create shelter before they froze to death out here. The sun was going down fast and that meant the temperatures were going to drop even more.
Looking around frantically, Darby noticed an opening in the side of a large hill. If he was right, it wasthe cave Krill had spoken about. Concern that a bear or other predator might have taken residency had Darby hesitant to go to it.
