Liv His grip was bruising. My bare feet stumbled against the wood floor as he pulled me down the hall. He didn't speak or look at me. He just shoved me with furious silence. He pushed my door open so hard it banged against the wall. And then he yanked me inside. My back hit the edge of the mattress and for a split second, I thought this was it. I thought his defenses has finally worn away completely and he was now ready to stop pretending. But I was wrong. He dropped my wrist like it burned him and began pacing around the room.
