Chapter 14
Rob darted through the water, a silky streak of russet weaving through the waves. He made his way out deeper, where he could float peacefully on his back, uninterrupted by Jack and Anya’s acrobatic antics.
He watched as the two zig zagged back and forth across the surface in a game of chase, batting their paws together and tugging at each other’s’ tails. Rob had done his fair share of teasing, but he had wanted to take a moment and enjoy the sun beating down on his face as he bobbed in the cool water. He wondered if he would ever tire of the freedom he felt, now that his health was under control and he’d found a family.
