Chapter 17 Rob wished that he’d thought to grab a bottle of water on his way out the door. The cool breeze coming in from the water wasn’t able to fully combat the rays beating down from the midday sun. He sat in the wet sand of the surf with his arms resting on his knees. The damp seeping in through his board shorts was slightly uncomfortable, but it helped to offset the heat. He squinted as he looked up at an airplane slicing through the clouds.
