Scarlett pulled the curtains aside, letting the soft morning light filter into her bedroom. The November chill had settled in, and frost clung to the edges of the windowpane. She pressed her hand against the cold glass, taking in the familiar sight of her family’s large estate sprawled before her. The snow-covered grounds were dotted with trimmed hedges, fountains, and paths already cleared by the servants who worked tirelessly every morning. Her gaze drifted to the driveway, where the faint outlines of tyre tracks marred the pristine snow.
