I helped carry The Minitour up the stairs. Mr. Leech took one end, and I took the other. We put him in one of the guest rooms. As we lifted him up, Mr. Leech smiled at me.
“I’m pleased that you stepped away,” said Mr. Leech. “I’m pleased that you knew your truth.”
“My truth?” I asked. “What are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about you being Pipers cousin. Remember, what I told you the last time that you were here? When The Minitour first tried to attack Piper?”
I glanced down at the man that we had helped carry up the stairs. “Chris, The Minitour attacked Piper?”
