Naika closes the door behind her and joins Kairon, who was lost in the stars, in their small balcony. "That was a nasty trick." Naika said. "So I'm told", Kairon responded with a smile. "When you winked at me, you did so with your left eye, so that Neiko, who was on your right, didn't even know you were winking. Then you gave him a dose of alcohol to make him drowsy", she explained. "Well, you would want to discuss this, right?" Kairon said without parting his view from the stars, pulling out the small golden letter from his pocket. "What!?" She exclaimed, surprised. She checked her pockets and found that it indeed wasn't with her anymore. After her self-patdown, she was convinced that he was holding the real thing and gave up the search. "You could have just told him that we're going to have a serious, private talk, you know. He's not stupid". "I didn't want him to feel left behind or something...", he said. Naika paused and decided to join the stargazing. "You even know about that...", she said, with a sad, careful tone."Leave it up to Nii-san to see through everything", she said. "And... this might be a problem as well", he said, pointing at the total tuition fee written on the invitation. "I guess I'm not going after all", she said. Kairon brings out his phone amd taps on it a few times. He shows Naika his work and comments, "I've done the math and we're a few thousand short of the deal". Naika looks at the calculations and sees that it's already taken into account possible losses while relying on some consistencies. It's seems that it's neither optimistic nor pessimistic, but rather realistic. She looks at him for a moment. "You said it yourself, we'd still be a few thousand short. I'm fine with living our life as it is. No huge risks or we'll fall into poverty. Again". "Oh no! My dear little sister has bean eaten alive by the adult world!", he laughs. "Come on, where is she? She's the one who told me to never give up 'as long as there is light'. Although I still don't know what the last part meant". All while Kairon talks, she lazily uses her arms as pillows as she sets her head on the railing at the edge of the balcony. After his talk, she wanted to reply, yet only a not-even-meant "hehe" came out. "I have an idea", he lights up. "Neiko could quit his school and get a full-time job. Hah! I'm a genius!". She glares at him, "That's not even funny!", she exclaims. "What?", he asked. "Quincey would have taken it". "Do you think I'm even half as heartless as that guy? Okay, enough. I've decided that I'm not going. Oyasuminasai!", she said out loud and trotted fast to her room. [Oyasuminasai - good night] "And I thought you were the one who said we should talk", Kairon folded and neatly kept the papers still in his hand back to the golden envelope and revealed a promotion notice that he was hiding behind it. "Too late, I guess", he said. "Still, I'd want to wish one last happy birthday".
