An ultimate ability differs from each type of player. While in the middle of casting it, the player is invulnerable to all damage sources during this time. He or she may only cast it by consuming fury.
Fury grants increased stats, and is achieved when a character's aura drops to 30%. It is also granted for 2 seconds after respawning, so that spawnkills may occur, but due to the fact that fury increases defenses, it would be a lot more difficult, while still leaving the possibility, leaving that a viable strategy.
Fury can also be released to emit a shockwave around the character and push the surrounding objects away. Including players.
Naika was about 28% health at that time and was contemplating whether the opponent has enough stamina to finish her off or not.
At 10% she released her fury and decided not to risk it. Sword guy flew away and was on the other side of the map now.
Naika drifted the other way but only a couple of meters, which isn't too far from her comrade.
Meanwhile, her ally left their water-type opponent at 29% aura because he had little stamina left.
[This is going to be a problem], she thought, then her ally cast a barrage of arrows using the last of his stamina thinking of making him, the adversary, waste his ult to use the invincibility frames to avoid the attack.
Unfortunately, he failed to consider what the ultimate ability could be in the heat of the battle. His realized his plan backfired right at him as he went into an exhaustion state, making him an easy target, for the enemy's ult, which was apparently a large-area meteor explosion which is erasing most, but not all of his health.
Naika felt desperate watching the moment where she couldn't attack the enemy during the casting of his ultimate, and the other one with the giant sword, who was still sitting at an almost full green aura bar, was coming straight to her.
If she waited for the invincibility of the spearman to wear off, she'd get earth-spiked again, as by then she would be in her foe's range.
If she skirmished with him, she'd definitely lose. Her only option was to waste his time by guarding, as a frontal battle would kill her. Another problem was that her blocking ability is inferior to most weapons due to its nature.
Though it was faster, playing around the advantage would require that she make no mistake during their battle and make that superhero play, which she was not confident that she was capable of.
As if time had slowed, she closed her eyes and thought of a way.
[There must be a way, right?], she thought.
She opened them, and told herself, [of course there was], smirking.
