"Yes, sir!" I watched the guards bow in perfect unison, his gaze still fixed steadily on me while Vivian yelled, snapped, and spoke rudely, though no one answered her, since she was already being turned out immediately.
"This is not over," was what she said before leaving, chills running down my spine at the way she'd said the word "over." It was as if I'd never heard those words spoken like that before in my life.
