"What do you think you're doing?" Hardin's voice cut in from behind us, startling us both instantly.

"Brother…" Jace called out, giving Hardin a thumbs-up as he strode past me to stand right in front of him. "I'm sorry I haven't been checking in on you since the incident. I've had a lot to sort out concerning my citizenship."
