The Protector and the Vengeful Instruments

The Earth Stone & the Secret of Secrecy

                          Elder Elf Onvai held Zack’s left hand and raised it to the air. “Anhlon City!!! We are graced with the presence of the new protector! This calls for a celebration! “And all the elves shouted in glee. The whole Anhlon city was filed with joyful music. The elves prepared songs, dance and food for Zack and his friends. “What’s wrong?” Zack asked as he caught Eko starring at him.

“Nothing, I just didn’t thought that one day, among all the tribes of creatures in the Light realm, Anhlon will be the one to find the protector. We have been perceived small and powerless by the other tribes due to our size. But now, see! I even save the protector from being eaten by Ogres. “Said Uni in a drunkard voice over drinking flower wine.

“I can’t say anything but thank you and Eko, If not for the both you, I would have been eaten by Ogres already. “Replied Zack. 

“We have a long way to go, before the sun rises, we have to move to Nethilore and meet King Conandus. 

Well, that gave me chills. I finally will be able to find answers to my questions” said Zack while starring at the Amulet. 

                              Ascarus showed up from a purple smoke outside Anhlon City. He knew he couldn’t pass easily unless invited by Elder Elf Onvai, or if accompanied by an elf. The whole Anhlon city is concealed by the power of the Earth stone. And its power of protection granted by God Solomon. He raises his Soul Staff and strike the gateway to the Anhlon City with huge lightning. One blow after another. But no matter how powerful it is, the power of the soul staff couldn’t pass through. 

 “Onvai!!!” Ascarus shouted, you have to let me in or else it means that you are going against the kingdom of Avrok. You elves are known to be gentle and kind, you wouldn’t want to trigger a war wouldn’t you?”

Ascarus was heard all over Anhlon City. Everyone was stunned, the joyful music and laughter of the elves stopped. Everyone was staring at the sky where the voice is coming from.

 “Ascarus is already here”. Said Eko, He might have sensed the power of the Amulet and led him here.

You can see and feel that everyone is frightened. Elder Elf Onvai showed.

 “Uni and Eko you have to hide Zack inside the main hall and from there, use the underground passage to get out of here. In the heart of the water fall is the earth stone. Get it and leave the Anhlon City hurry! Only the Kingdom of Nethilore and can keep Zack and the Amulet Safe!”

“But Elder Elf Onvai, we don’t have to show up, we have the protection of the earth stone. Avrok cannot break through the barrier!” Said Eko.

“But I know Ascarus, he would never let go. He knew the protector and the Amulet of Grimoire is here. He would never let go of this chance to kill the protector and get his hand on the Amulet of Grimoire. More than that, the power of the Amulet relies on its bearer. For now, Zack knows nothing about being a protector. The power of the Amulet is not as powerful as the Soul Staff of Ascarus.”

“But what about you ‘all? Aren’t you going to escape too?” Asked by Zack.

“No, protector, we have to hold him off, to buy you time so you could successfully escape.”

“No, I am the protector, you should not sacrifice your lives for me! I am supposed to keep you all safe!”

“Soon Zack, as soon as you have gathered all the remaining stones, you will be strong enough to go against Ascarus. But for now, let us do our part for the Light Realm. Also, do not use the power of the Amulet while you’re on your way to the kingdom of Nethilore, or Ascarus can track you!” Said Elder Elf Onvai.

                 Uni and Zack forcedly brought Zack inside of the main hall. While the army of elves lined up and formed a barrier outside the main hall. Tears dropping but no sign of regret from their faces. They knew that their life would be worth it to save the entire Light realm from the hands of Ascarus. Every time Ascarus attacked the barrier, it creates cracks, and slowly the barrier is breaking off.

“Elves of the Anhlon City, we owe our lives to the Ultimate God Solomon! It is with greatest pride to be able to fight alongside these brave elves”… said Elder Elf Onvai.

               These words empowered the Elves army, each transformed into beasts, Griffins, and even big wolves. The barrier completely collapsed. And from the dark smoke appeared Ascarus holding his Soul Staff. Next to him is Lilith with her pets and snake Scythe. On their back is a few battalion of the Avrok dark army. They’re all ready to kill.

“I can smell some sweet elf blood” … says Lilith.

“Onvai! It doesn’t have to come to this, you can surrender the Amulet and the Protector, and we can leave Anhlon as if nothing happened”. Says Ascarus.

“Don’t deceive me Ascarus! I know you to the very tip of our hair! Everything about you are lies and hatred! You will never leave us alone! We’d rather die fighting than be fooled by some treacherous beast like you! , you are a disgrace to the whole Light realm. Maybe you are the most powerful creature now, but when the time comes, you will die a painful death!”

“You don’t want to hurt me with those words considering the kind of situation you’re in now”. I asked patiently but you won’t give in. You cannot blame me Onvai, Dark Army of the kingdom of Avrok. Kill every single elf you see!!!

                    And the battle between the Elves and Darknighters begins.  With the use of the Soul Staff, Ascarus was in the upper hand, killing every single elf he can see. Piercing them with the staff, while the demon creatures eat every elf they caught. Lilith slicing every elf into pieces. Elf heads were rolling everywhere.

                    Bodies of demon beasts were torn apart, with griffin elves attacking it. Elder Elf Onvai wielded its staff and grow huge branches of trees and vines that pierced every demon creature and dark army soldiers near it. Lilith attempted to cut every single vine and tendrils that reached her. But Onvai knew that this is only temporary. The moment Zack get the Earth stone, the power to control plants would disappear, making way for Ascarus to kill more and more elves.

                 Bodies of both elves and warriors of the Dark Army were scattered everywhere. The peaceful Anhlon city is now burning in soul flames and covered in blood. You cannot hear any joyful songs, only the cries of every young elves before being stabbed or chopped into pieces and their heads off their bodies.

                The Dark Army can hardly move farther due to the huge branches and tree trunks used by Elder Elf Onvai to block Ascarus and his men. Lilith jumped to reach the end of the tree barrier and attacked Onvai. Onvai grew another huge plant and tangled Lilith. She can no longer move. Every second the vines tighten its grip on Lilith’s body and she can feel every bone in her body being crushed slowly. Seeing the situation of the elf army and the numerous amount of casualties they have. He decided to sacrifice his life by using all of his remaining magic in one single blow. He created magical bubbles that enclosed every remaining elves left alive in hopes of protecting them from the massive explosion. His staff is using its power to sustain the tree barrier, while his other hand, the vine that’s killing Lilith slowly.

                 He has no choice but to let go of Lilith for the time being…

“Elder Elf Onvai! What are you planning to do? One of elves said. You can’t do this!”

                 But Onvai act as if he didn’t hear him. He started glowing. His other hand holds a magical ball of light that grows in every second. All of Ascarus’ army is struggling to move. The ball of light then turned big and powerful enough to kill all remaining Darknighters and Demons. He just have to seal its magic and release it. He know this could bring a massive damage to Ascarus and his army. And slow him down in going after Zack...

                 Zack, Uni, Eko and some female and baby elves get into the mail hall.

“Where is the heart of the waterfall? “Asked Zack.

“It should be somewhere here…” Uni touching the walls of the hall. The waterfalls started to freeze.  And the Earth stone appeared right in the middle of the tall waterfalls.

“How exactly can we get it from there? It’s quite high! “Uni said.

Zack made the amulet appeared and it seems to work on its own. Someone is telling him what to do. The earth stone lit green and moved towards the top of the amulet as if it has a mind of its own… But even before the Earth stone merged with Amulet, they hear Elder Elf Onvai’s scream…

                      He failed to release the ball of light and end up falling on the ground with a hole in his body, on his back was Ascarus holding his heart… still moving and pumping blood. But Ascarus tighten its grip to it until it burst into pieces…
