Chapter 15: The clan meeting

Aiden's POV

When we were done taking Lucia's baggage inside the house, people from the clan has already been already arriving to the house. 

"Baby, go and take a shower and go to bed." I told Lucia, who came up to me, snuggling into my chest. "Ok, when will you come back to bed?" She asked me. "I don't know darling. But not anytime soon, just sleep without me." I gave her a soft kiss on her forehead. She looked up to me with those beautiful blue eyes, she was so tired, my poor girl. As I gently stroked her cheek while giving her small pecks, earning a small tired giggle from her. "I love you baby. Good night sweetie" I said and gave her one last kiss. "I love you too Aiden, good night." Lucia turned around and walked into the bathroom. Sighting, I went downstairs, meeting the rest of the clan. 

"Well, Well Aiden. You look good so much better than last time we saw each other." Agnese came up to me, trying to give me a kiss. I pulled away, dodging her try. "thanks." I answered quickly, leaving her alone. Agnese is a girl the same age as me, we were supposed to marry each other but I declined. I'm not marrying a girl that will cheat on you on every corner. The only thing she cares about is money, the luxurious life and s*x. I could give her that, but again, I want to, no I need to be loved. I need to feel the same security and love as my girlfriend. I needed a girl that would be loyal to me, who will love me for who I'm and not for what I have on my bank account or my pants. Lucia is giving me everything she has, I feel safe with her, I feel loved. I know Lucia would never leave me for anyone else, and I'm so grateful for it. I need her in my life.

"Hey man, What's up bro"  I heard a familiar voice. I turned around just to Anton, my childhood best friend. "Hey, bro. Welcome back." I shook his hand and hugged him. "Oh, I see how this is....you got yourself a girl, bro." He laughed. " Where is she, aren't you taking her to the meeting?" he asked, looking around trying to find her. "No man, she is asleep. that's why you need to keep your voice down. And she cant joined the meeting" I answered. "Wait, is it that girl everyone has been talking about? That pureblooded human?" Anton whispered to me. "Ugh, here we go again. Yes it is her." I answered, keeping my voice low. "Is she okay? I mean, after the attack." he said in a guilt like voice, not knowing if he should ask that question or not. "She is fine, don't worry. Now come on in, the meeting is about to start" I said, patted his shoulder while walking back inside. 

"Alright, Wolfs Of Oathens Clan. Welcome to our yearly meeting. We have many things to discuss and clear out...." my dad said. "The Blooded clan needs to be stopped! Since last time, they have murdered 28 humans, and they have no plans on stopping murdering innocent humans. We need to decide....Either we try to contact the council and stop them or we are going to kill them!" My dad shouted out. The whole clan went insane, screaming to each other. I felt disappointed, for an unknown reason. I didn't feel like one of them, not anymore. My mom came to me. "Hey Aiden, is everything ok?" my mom placed her hand on my shoulder. "Yea, yea everything is fine. Its just that--" I said until my mom interrupted me. "I know it is brutal, I'm against it too, but you know your dad....he will rip them apart. Not even I cant stop him." my mom gave me a hug, and I hugged her back. "I just don't want her to be pulled into this mess, I don't want  people to be hurt." I said, feeling the flood of sadness rush over me. "Hey, everything will be fine. The council will stop them, trust me. And your father wants to talk to you after this meeting, its serious." my mom whispered while giving me another hug, giving me a kiss on the cheek. "I know you will choose what's right" and with that she let go and walked to my dad. 

I sighted and walked up to my room, slowly opening my door. I saw Lucia being sound asleep, laying on my side of the bed. Letting out a small chuckle I walked next to her and sat down. She looked so peaceful. She must have been so tired since nothing of what happened downstairs woke her up. I gently stroked her cheek, smiling. Lucia slowly opened her eyes. "Aiden? You back already?" She said sleepily, try to sit up. "Hey no, no, no. Lay back." I gently laid her back on bed, stroking her hair. "I came up to check up on you. Sorry to wake you up darling." I whispered, giving her a small  peck on her cheek. "It is ok. as long as its you that wakes me up or checks up on me, im fine with it." She gave me a soft smile." Can you please lay down next to me please?" she looked at me with her puppy eyes. " I can stay here for a bit, but then I have to go down ok?" I said, flipping myself over and spooned her. I was gently kissing her shoulder and neck, and within a few minutes she was back asleep. I slowly stood up from the bed, tucking her in for the last time and went downstairs again.

"Hey, Aiden....Come with me" I heard my dad say and started going out. I followed him outside. "There is something serious stuff that is about to happen, and you are not going to be happy about it." I heard my dad say, rubbing his forehead. "Well, bring it...." I started to mentally prepare myself, but there is no way I could prepare for this s**t. " The council wants a meeting with Lucia." dad blurted out. "WHAT?!" I shouted out. "oh hell no, they are NOT taking her away from me. Only through my dead body!" I felt anger rise up in me. I was starting to loose control over myself. "Son, I'm sure they just want to talk to her about what she knows about us. If she can keep it a secret." my dad assured me, but there was a hint of uncertainty. No humans that ever walked into the councils castle, ever walked out and till now, they have never been seen or found. "Father, I cant loose her, you know that." I said lowly, trying to control my anger. "I know son, but she has to go there. If not, you will either way never see her again, only her head being ripped off her body." dad said threateningly. "f**k this shit." I said, walking around rubbing my head. "I guess I need some private time with her before she leaves. So I can treat her like a queen for the last time." I sat down on the ground, feeling depressed. "I'm sure they just want to see the girl that was able to tame the beast, Aiden." and with that, my father went back inside, leaving me alone in thoughts.
