Chapter 16: The last good bye

Aiden's POV

I just couldn't believe that council is going to kill her. Why? What did she do wrong? Is it because she is  human? So many thoughts has been running through my head. I transformed into my werewolf form, and ran away. I was angry, sad and out of control. I couldn't loose my girlfriend, my soul mate. I ran up to the to my private spot, a place where I go when I need to calm down. A place where my and Lucia's future would be built. I sat down, feeling tears run down. My life turned upside down. Everything hated me. I lost all my previous girlfriends, because I though they were the one for me. But then they betrayed me and left me broken. I stood there in silence for a few minutes, my thoughts were running through my head. The anger started to disappear. I turned around and started to walk back towards the house. I needed to gain courage to face her.

When I entered the house, people were partying hard, and yet they were keeping their voice. I quickly went up into our room and saw Lucia soundly asleep. I sat next to her, stroking her soft brown hair, admiring her beauty. We will take a trip to the cabin and stay there for a day or two. I need to be with her for the last time. Show her how much I love her, how much I need her in my life. 

I laid down next to her, trying to get some sleep, but I just couldn't. My heart felt heavy. And for the rest of the night I was awake, looking at my girlfriend, noticing every single detail about her and cherishing it. 

Lucia's POV

I started to slowly wake up I felt Aiden spooning me. I slowly turned around and snuggled him. He looked so tired, he had dark circles under his eyes,  showing that he was awake the whole night. I felt bad for him and snuggled him into my chest, gently stroking his hair. Aiden wrapped his hands around me, pulling me closer.  He groaned and pulled softly away, looking up to me. If he needed time, I will gladly give him time to calm down.

He was holding me tightly, like this was the last time he could be with me. "I'm sorry Lucia." Aiden spoke up, sitting up and drying his tears. I sat up and placed my hand on his cheek. " You have nothing to apologize for Aiden. Tell me, what happened?" I softly asked him, hoping he would tell me. "The council....wrote to us....and" he stopped talking, pulling away from me. "They want a meeting with you." and then again he started crying again rolling onto me. "Oh Aiden, its alright---" "NO ITS NOT LUCIA!!" Aiden shouted out. I got scared and pulled away. "its...Not ok...." Aiden saw what he have done. "Im sorry, but its not ok Lucia." he whispered, gently taking my hand into his. "Why do they want to meet up with me?" I asked, but seeing Aiden's reaction, I knew what was coming. "They want to kill you" He blurted out, standing up from the bed and walked into the bathroom. I sat there in shock. Why would they want to kill me? What did I do wrong?

I heard Aiden turning on the shower. I stood up and walked into the bathroom. Taking of my clothes and I entered the shower. Aiden was standing there, motionless.
