Chapter 18: There is life and hope

Fredrik/ Lucretius Flashback POV

The council had a special meeting. Only Valentine from Serendel clan knew what we are going to discuss. As we entered the meeting hall, Valentine was already waiting on us. We all sat down, waiting for the big reveal.

"So, I hope you all have heard that one member of the Oathens has found another human lover." Valentine spoke. "And one member of the council knew it all along." Valentine looked at me with suspicion. "Well, I'm sorry but I have no idea what is happening...Im the leader of the Oathens and I have no clue about one of us having another human lover." Andrew said sternly, his voice shook in rage. "Now, Lucretius....What do you know about that human that is in love with Aiden Oathens." Valentine sat back, crossing his arms. I inhaled deeply. " Her name is Lucia Greyblade, One of my students. She was one of my top students in history. A kind, strong willed and calm girl. As I saw it, Aiden made the first move they went on a date and fell asleep together, and next day they were walking hand in hand with each other, day by day they were closer and closer. They both are in love. And if you think that Lucia is a threat to us then you are wrong!" I slammed down my hands on the table. " Keep her out of this..." I said before settling down again. "She has been attack by the traitors and now some vampire tried to kill her...Are we still going to leave her out of this?" Valentine asked, his voice was cold. "What?" I looked at Valentine. "For what I've heard....She was kidnapped by her "bullies" and one vampire. She was tied to a tree left to dead, then one child of the Kristof's children saved her right before she got infected or killed. And if it wasn't enough, the same vampire and his crew attacked the Oathens family, and the vampire attacked her nearly killing her." Valentine continued. 

"Who attacked them?" I asked, feeling the anger take over me. "For what I know, he was payed to attack them. Rey Genoren was the vampire payed to hurt Lucia Greyblade. But who payed him, is still unknown." Valentine stood up and picked up his drink and took a sip. "But what we know for sure, whoever it is, they will hunt her down again and again until she is dead. We need a meeting with her and tell her what she needs to do soon as possible." Valentine said while sipping on his drink. "She is not getting turned, that's for sure." I answered, leaning back to my seat. "Look, if she means so much to the beast of Oathens, I need to protect her." Andrew said after being silent the whole time. "One of my wolfs are in love with her, so she is a member of the clan. She has to be turned." Andrew stood up and walked over to the window. "No, she is most certainly not going to turn!" I shouted to him, hoping he would get the warning. "Lucretius, calm down. She will be turned once, you know that. And the sooner we turn her, the better for her and the Oathens." he sighted. "And for us too." Faelan of Adreilia said. "what do you mean for us?" Lycaon of Erendailen spoke out, and we all looked at Faelan. "I had a vision, few days ago as I remember. The Vampire kingdom from Greece is coming to pay us a visit, and its not going to be nice. I saw a pureblooded she-wolf running through the snow, stopping the war once again. Her blue eyes were shining in the sun and her white fur matching the snow. A more majestic werewolf than any of us could ever be. And it is Lucia Greyblade." Faelan finished. "Are you saying that Lucia Greyblade is a pureblooded werewolf?" I asked him. "No, she is not a werewolf, but if she gets turned.....She will be the Queen of the werewolves, stronger than any Alpha, stronger than us. But she will have a King by her side, and you all know who that is by now." Faelan rolled his eyes. "Aiden" we all said at the same time.

"But that means we loose all the power." Valentine said. "Yes and no, They will be the majestic yes. But we will still make the rules. the only difference is that whatever they say, is a order and we must fulfill it." Faelan answered. "I'm not letting any kids be the King and Queen! Only through my dead body!" Valentine shouted out, slamming his fist into the table, breaking it in two pieces. "You calm the f**k down!!! You cant deny the return of the King and the Queen, someone who IS supposed to sit on the throne" I shouted back at him. "We will have a meeting with Lucia Greyblade. But you are not harming her or doing anything that might make her feel threaten! Is that clear for all?" I asked them all. "Yes, it is clear." they all answered.

"Alright, this was our first case. Now the second case we need to discuss is, those Genoren vampires need to pay, they broke the rules and hurted our people. we will have to discuss it with the vampire council, and they will make them stop. If not, there will be war, once again." Andrew said, leaning back on his seat. "We will see what will happen, I already sent them a letter. Lets hope for the best. And remember, we need to stay calm when they are here. Just in case." he continued.

Lucretius POV

There I stood in front of Lucia, trying to keep her safe. I was so damn pissed, I could hear her heartbeat. She was so scared. The fear was so strong, for gods sake. I will rip them apart. 

We were growling and snarling at each other, threatening to attack at any given moment. I heard Lucia's heartbeat slowing down, as I turned around she was already loosing balance, right before she hit the ground I caught her, letting her land on me. I snarled at them, getting them to help me get her up. I put her on my back, carrying her into a guest room. "My lord, let me help you." I hear Carolina say. She was our maid, a woman that we could trust. She had the power to see the potential  future, what might happen or will happen. "She is the pureblooded, but I sense something else in her." Carolina uncovered the blankets, and gently putting her to bed. " She is carrying a life." Carolina whispered, gently placing her hand on Lucia's lower stomach. "She cant be pregnant." I said, looking down on Carolina. "Well, try it for yourself. She is carrying a life. You can not turn her. She need to return to the Oathens, to her beloved." She looked up to me, placing her hand on my cheek. 

"Carolina, we cant, you know that." I whispered to her, gently stroking her hand. "You didn't like it when we were separated, I lost our child to that. She doesn't deserve to end up like that. You must let her go." Her eyes were filled up with tears. "She will stay here for a while, till she is alright, then I will bring her home to Aiden." I whispered, planting a small kiss on her lips. "Thank you darling." Carolina answered me, giving me one last peck. "I got to go now, we need to meet with the f*****g blood sucker." I chuckled earning a laugh from her.
