LACHLAN'S POV
A loud yawn escaped my lips as I stretched, slowly rising from the bed to sit. My thoughts instantly went to Lucille and I glanced at the other side of the bed only to be met with emptiness. My brows furrowed and I yelled out her name but got no response.
Rising slowly from the bed, I made my way towards the toilet and the walk-in closet but all was empty. Anger rose in me as the realization of her leaving dawned on me.
I was about to call her and demand to know the reason for her dissatisfaction but a knock on the door made me pause.
“Come in,” I ushered.
The door opened immediately and in walked my beta.
“I just wanted to check if you were up so I can remind you of the documents
that needs your signature before the end of today,” he stated rather coldly.
