I pull out a baby pink jilbab from my closet and going against every protest in my mind, I decide to wear a white scarf with it. Pairing it all up with white Nike sneakers.
I dress up and check myself in the mirror, feeling pretty. I walk out of the door and down the stairs. Simultaneously, Emad strolls out of the kitchen.
His eyes travel down the length of me and he smiles appreciatively.
"You look stunning."
I fidget with my hands and bite down on my lip to contain the ridiculously girly smile forming on my lips.
