“I couldn’t let you go without telling you this…” she started. “Telling me what?” “About George, about what he really is.” “As if I don’t know after what I’ve been through?” “You have a point there,” she said with a weak smile, as she plunked herself down on my bed. “But I figure he’s still filled with lies… and since I don’t know what your plans are once you get home, you should know the facts.” “What facts?” “I’m Mary,” she wanted to shake my hand like it was obligatory, but I ignored her. “You may have heard of me; I’ve been a secretary with the company for a couple of years, but I’m mostly a w***e. That’s okay with me, I get vacations like this one, and I love s*x. So, it really suits me.” She looked like she wanted me to approve of her, but I wouldn’t. I wasn’t feeling generous.
