Lena ate half the Thai food before she even sat down properly. She looked at Kieran sitting beside me on the bed. Looked at me. Looked back at Kieran. Said nothing. Which from Lena was basically a standing ovation. She handed out containers and chopsticks and sat in the chair Kieran had vacated and ate like she hadn't seen food in three days. Maybe she hadn't.
