They both stared at her. How would he know that? Tracy's heart beat at an uncontrollable speed, she felt so embarrassed so much that she wished she could die on the spot.
"Wh.. How.... I have a home" she almost whispered. She couldn't even lie properly, she mentally face palmed herself.
"Tracy, is that the problem?" Travis said with a sympathetic look on his face and Tracy hated it.
"What do you mean.... that's a lie, I... I do have a home... How would he know? What is he?!"
"Tracy, look, I knew something was up when you didn't want me to take you home, so I told my best friend to have my tracers check on you and-" he turned to to his best friend with a unimpressed look " - I expected you to have atleast texted me or something, you know".
He scratched his head nervously " Well, you sounded like it was a big deal, I had to act fast"
Travis sighed " Look Tracy, I'm sorry about that, I just didn't-"
She interrupted him "Didn't know what?! It was obvious I didn't want you to know and then you carry your snoopy nose into my business. Just let me have my clothes and take me out of here."
His best friend looked suprised that she spoke to him that way. A deep frown crossed Travis' face.
"You know, you have a pretty snappy mouth young lady. Do you know who you are talking to?"
"Like I care, give me my clothes or I'm calling the cops" she was fuming now. Who the hell does he think he his. She didn't care if he's the damn president. All she wanted was to get out of here. However, deep down she was really scared. She was alone with two big men and wasn't wearing any underwear underneath her clothes. Anything could happen and God so help her, she couldn't even fight a fly to save her life.
Travis' face was blank, he turned to his best friend who had been watching all this drama with suprise.
"Jake, take her to the Central Park and return back immediately" he said walking out but stopped when he reached the door.
"Also remind me not to take any ungrateful person on the side of the road about to die again." With that he left, slamming the door harshly.
~•~
"We're here" That was the first thing Jake had said since he led her out of the house, no scratch that, the mansion to a very large garage. He picked out the nearest car and drove out the gate. She looked back at the place she just came out from, she had never even imagined or dreamt of stepping foot in a mansion, and then she was leaving. She sighed softly. This was all her ex boss' fault. Bastard.
"Uh, Tracy?"
"Yeah, sorry, I just zoned out" she faked a smile.
"I figured" he smiled back.
" You were saying?"
" We're here" he said searching her face for any emotion.
" Okay, thanks for the ride" she said already opening the door.
"Wait" Jake said
"What"
"Look, I don't mean to interfere but Travis is just trying to help, he wants to actually give you a place to stay which is very unlike him. And I mean that considering he's always cold and hardly shows emotion. Don't be stupid because of your pride or because you don't want any favors from anyone. Coming to the park is just the most dense decision ever, where will you sleep tonight?" He asked with a concerned look.
"It's none of your business okay? I don't care if I'm being "stupid" or foolish but I don't want to be a burden to anyone." She was feeling uncomfortable right now.
"Burden? So you actually don't know who Travis DeVille is." He said with a shocked look on his face.
"Why are you so shocked about it. If he's so popular, I'm pretty sure I will know him" she scoffed.
"Okay, maybe you'll know this instead. You know the popular "Beige" restaurants?"
"Yeah, those horrible restaurants that charge food the amount of my 3 month salary together. The funniest part is that place is packed with people.
"It's his. He also has chains of seven star hotels over the world. He owns three private airports. All these are just side stuffs. The main thing he does is to design cars. He owns several car industries that I can't even count."
He smirked when he realized her mouth was slightly open in an unattractive way.
That clarified her thoughts about the extravagant cars in his garage.
"Oh"
"Yeah"
"So you still want to reconsider?"
"No"
"Well, you're one tough girl, anyone else would have jumped at this opportunity" he said
"I'm not anyone. Goodbye. " She said as she got out and slammed the door. She went to a bench and sat there, watching little children play, couples cuddling, it was a peaceful day, she dragged her leg to her chin and hugged it. But boy was it chilly today. She sneezed painfully. The force made her throat dry and scratchy.
She wasn't even with her phone. She might have probably lost it in the rain. She sighed. She was so unfortunate. She shut her eyes and didn't even realize when she slept off.
She woke up to a freezing cold night. It was night already, she realized she had curled up on the bench and had slept. She sat up and looked round her. There was no one. It should have been pretty late. She was scared. She contemplated going to a random house to knock so that they could give her shelter for the night but she didn't.
She saw two men far off in black smoking and staring at her. She felt uncomfortable and she turned her face away and hugged herself from the cold night. She shivered and shook violently. She hoped the rain wouldn't fall again today.
She started to feel uneasy, she looked back to where she saw those men. They weren't there again. She felt better. It was so cold. Her throat was dry and she couldn't swallow without feeling pain. She felt something move behind her.
She turned back abruptly. She didn't see anything. Her heart was beating a hundred miles per second. She was so scared. Then suddenly, someone grabbed her by her hair and threw her off the bench. The pain was so sudden that the next thing that came out from her mouth was a ear splitting scream that was instantly muffled by someone's hand as the person dragged her up. She noticed that it was the same two men she had seen earlier. They were not gone, they only waited to catch her unaware.
He held her back to his front with a death grip placed on her mouth.
The second one brought out a pocket knife. She nearly fainted with the sight. Her eyes were blurry with tears.
"I'm going to release you now but if you dare scream, I'll slit your throat" the tall and thin one said. He gave a look to the fat one holding her mouth and he released her but still kept his grip around her body.
"Please I don't have any money, I swear, you can check, I promise I have nothing. Nothing to give. Please" she sobbed.
The men looked at each other for a second and then suddenly, they burst into fits of laughter.
"She..she thinks we want her money. " The fat one was laughing so hard he could hardly compose a sentence.
Tracy was confused. "You don't want my money?" She nearly whispered.
" Oh girl, are you that dense" the tall sneered one sneered.
" How old are you?" He asked with an ugly smirk on his face.
"Twenty one" she said truthfully. She hoped her age had to do something with helping her to get out of this situation.
"Hmm, twenty one? You look nineteen to me, uhn, Buck what do you think?" He said to the other one
"I don't care, even if she's ten, she's going nowhere without me having a taste of this great body" he said giving her a painful smack on her butt.
The look of horror that crossed Tracy's face was deathly. She knew why they were here, to r**e her. Oh, she wasn't going to let that happen. She'd rather die than to have the rest of her life living with the memory of r**e. Taking in a lot of breath, she let out a blood curling scream that almost made her deaf. Immediately, her face flew to the side when the fat guy gave her a hard punch. She fell to the hard concrete ground. She wheezed painfully.
"The fat one looked angry, he started to remove his belt. "You've been a bad girl, I wanted to do this less painful but now I don't care if I tear you apart. Infact maybe I'll take the front, Brent here will take the back" he sneered.
"I've always wanted to try that" the other one laughed.
Tracy hoped that when they were done, they could just kill her and that'll be the end.
The fat one started unzipping his pants. She tried to crawl away from him but he dragged her back and gave her a slap on her already bruised cheek.
He tore her shirt open, leaving her in her bra.
"Wait, are we going to do this here" the tall one asked.
"Course, no one's here to watch" he said with irritation in his voice.
Tracy tried to fight him off while he tried to remove her jeans.
"If I were you, I wouldn't do that" A deep voice she recognized came from behind her. The two men froze and then Tracy sighed (or tried to... because of her injured cheek) with relief before she finally passed out.
