Elaine On Thursday afternoon, I got out of the cab I'd boarded and crossed the street, moving towards the supermarket, my grocery list in hand. After so many months of saving, I finally had enough to pay for my rent for at least a year. I was so excited, and I couldn't hide the spring in my step.
