Chapter 16

Malcolm Watching Carmen getting dressed and undressed was the highlight of my day. It was very hard to believe that someone that was so beautiful and honest was chosen for me. She was so graceful and classy without making an effort. She was everything that a future Queen should be. One thing about Carmen that I absolutely loved was her beautiful honesty. Right now, I could tell that there was something weighing on her mind. "It seems like there is something on your mind, do you want to talk about it?" I asked her. She stared at me a moment, with all different emotions passing in her gray eyes. "Did something seem off about that conversation to you?" She asked me with curious eyes. "A couple of things seemed a little odd to me, but I assumed that it was me being overprotective." I said "What about the conversation bothered you?" I asked. "It seemed that he was holding back information and seemed upset when Cheryl warned us that it was a dangerous place to be." She said. I nodded at her, " I noticed that too." "Have you noticed that Stephen always has the stench of humans on him?" She asked me. " I do not know the human scent that well," I answered honestly "Well, I know their scent very well. The human scent remains strong for only a couple of hours, after that it fades quickly. For him to carry that scent daily, he has to have daily interaction with humans." She informed me. I was taken off guard. As far as I know, Stephen had not been back to the human world, and if he has had interaction with humans then that would mean that humans were near by. "How about Cheryl?" I asked. She glared at me with anger in her eyes for a few moments then it passed quickly. "That is the odd thing, I have only scented a fading scent of humans on her and none since the first day that we met." She said Now that was indeed very odd and potentially dangerous. The last time that humans had found their way into our village had caused an all out war. We had lost many friends that day. "I gather that you do not trust Stephen.?" I asked her. "I think that he is trying to get us out to that location to lay a trap for us. I do not know why, but I do not trust anything  that he says." She said. For some reason, I knew to trust her, something definitely was off about Stephen, we will find out together when the time was right and deal with it. "What are your feelings about Cheryl?" I asked. "I think she knows more about Stephen than she is caring to admit. I do not think she poses any danger to the kingdom at all. I  do not trust her though." "Why?" I asked her.  She looked at me with intent, gray eyes, "You think that she is pretty?" She asked from nowhere and left me baffled. "Cheryl has always been pretty." I said honestly. She walked toward me, "So do you think that she is prettier than me? Do you want to f**k her?" She asked. Her eyes were flashing and she was looking pissed off at me. Was she jealous of Cheryl and me? "No woman is more beautiful than you Carmen. I never want another woman in my bed ." I said. She walked over to me and ripped my shirt off "Prove it to me, Prove to me that I am the only woman that you want." My wife said I was more than happy to do whatever she asked. I do not know what had came over my delicious wife but for two and a half hours she marked every part of my body. If anyone were to see us now, it would be very obvious what we had been doing.. I definitely was not complaining. I was a bit surprised that Carmen would be jealous of any woman though, but I surely reaped the rewards of her jealousy. Alpha Axel Silver I read the letter from Percivus three times.  Did he think that it was going to be that easy? He came to us  and begged for our help, now he thought he could back out so easily. If my  daughter was not so interested in Malcolm, then I would have killed  him on the spot.  This is what one gets for trying to deal with someone honorably. I should have killed Percivus and kidnapped  Malcolm until my daughter was pregnant.  It was not too late. I didn't care about his mate. I knew that my daughter had a crush on him, but she would have to understand that Malcolm could not return her affections. She could have his child though. I glanced down at the letter. Either he thought that I was a fool or he was one. To even suggest that any pack take on the council was suicide. I scratched my chin. Maybe that is what he wanted. Maybe he thought that I would be so blinded by rage that I would be stupid enough to attack the council. That would solve his problems. If my entire pack was dead then we would not pose a threat to him. I turned to a familiar face. "Ranulf, what have you found out about the peasant girl that Malcolm is mated to?"  "The girl is no peasant Alpha.  She is the adopted daughter of Fenris  and Pauline. She is the goddaughter of King Silas and Queen Ahrayna. She has also been blood bonded to the crown, she is the next Queen." Ranulf said. I felt the blood pounding in my ears, that peace of s**t Percivus was trying to get us set up. Attacking  her would have gotten us all killed. Fenris and Silas are allied to two of the strongest fairy troops in the area. They would have taken great pleasure in torturing us to death, one by one. "Have you learned anything else about the girl?' I asked Ranulf. "Yes, she is allied to the council themselves, they refer to her as "the daughter of the elders." Ranulf continued," . Their union  has been blessed by the king and by the council." Ranulf said. "How much of this did Percivus tell you" Ranulf wondered out loud. At this point, I was too angry to think. I wanted Percivus to die a long slow death. "I do have some information that might be of use to you Alpha. Apparently old Percivus has been bedding  a witch, and did not take care of matters at home if you know what I mean. His wife has taken out divorce decree on him. Percivus is a broken man. He has been seen crying like a pup. He begs her all day to take him back, but he is still f*****g the witch. His wife is a she wolf starving for affection. I was thinking with the right timing, a spell or two from a good friend and we can make him suffer." Ranulf said. Although Ranulf plan was a good start,  I think I could add on to his plan a little bit. First I needed to find out who this witch was, after I paid a visit to Malcolm and his new wife.
