Rose's POV My day couldn't get any worse, I lost track of my updates and I had to do a clean job around four in the evening today. I don't know how I would cope with my new job, the one billion is already in my pocket. I groaned, turning my chair slightly, I have to find a way. I rested my head on the table trying to think of a plan. The door opened with a bang, and two people entered the room. A young man, brown hair, tall and good looking walked in, stopping in his tracks like he saw something. I stood up quickly recognizing who it was, I heard a sharp noise from behind him and a girl slowly walked out from his back. "I'm...I'm sorry, Mr. Arthur," she said, her voice low and wobbly. He glared at her and turned back to me, "who is she?" he pointed to me. "S-she is Rose Prescott, y-your sir" His face softens, and the thin lines on his head disappear. I sighed, a wave of fresh air. He walked past my table and into his office, and the young girl followed him immediately. "Have the girl leave this place at once," I heard him tell her. "Let her stay, we've interviewed her sir, should I call Ella?" He slammed his hand against the table and I stood outside the door listening to their conversation. After a few minutes of conversing, I heard the sound of heels walking back toward the door and I rushed back to sit down. She opened the door and stopped to glare at me, I'm not the problem here. She walked out, slamming the door behind her. What was going on? Doesn't Arthur want me as a personal assistant? 'I don't want to work with you too' I said in my mind. Only if he knew why I was here, he won't be underrating me like that. The door to my right opened and Arthur got out of it, I stood up quickly with a smile plastered to my face. He glanced at me and looked away quickly taking to his heels, he stopped after some steps and turned back at me. "Won't you follow me? Or don't you know what a personal assistant means" he growled?? What is he taking me for? I decided to hide my ego and rushed after him quickly. Every time I try to talk back at him, I bit my tongue ing to stop myself because of the one billion dollars that were already in the charity box. We walked around the building and my feet aches already. "What I've I gotten myself into," I mumbled. "What did you just say?" he asked staring right into my eyes. I flinched a little shaking my head slightly. He smirked, walking into another department, the developing department. He took every notepad from each desk and passed it to me. It was getting, heavier and heavier but I was trying my best to carry them. We left the department and headed for the elevator, my arms were aching he was doing this on purpose, and he has his hand crossed behind him, making me wonder what kind of mentality he has. I tried to reach for the elevator button, holding the notepads in one hand. I lost control, which made everything fly high landing on the ground loudly. My eyes went straight to Arthur, he looked down at the notepad and then back at my face. "Can't you just do something right for once?" he asked, angrily "I...I, it was too heavy," I shuttered. My gaze suddenly went to the notepads on the floor, someone was already helping me with them. I rushed over and picked them up quickly. "Thank you so much," I smiled. "It's nothing, Arthur is like a brother to me," he spoke, his voice sounding fruity. I looked at Arthur and then back at the guy in front of me. "Sorry, I forgot my manners, Felix Norman," he stretched his hand to me, I hesitated at first but finally shook him. "Rose Prescott," I smiled Follow ?➕ Comment ? Vote ? And share ?
