“Lexie….wake up, here is a coffee.” I heard Layla say.
I rolled over and sat up on the sofa as she passed me the big cup and sat next to me.
“Your face looks like it's healing well, it's less swollen and purple.” She said and I looked up at her and gave her a small smile.
“I can heal really quickly lately, …thank you Layla for letting me stay.” I say in a quiet voice.
“Oh please don't thank me, just feel bad that you have this rubbish predicament.” she said, smiling at me.
I see Matt come through the door with his tool kit and he looks at me sympathetically.
“Your door is fixed. Please stay away from that man. He is beyond damaged and you deserve better.” He says, about to walk into the kitchen.
