I stared sadly at how Don Lorenzo got angry.
"Why did you stop? Father? Why? I want you to hit me because of her! To hit me, your son, whom you had promised to fight the world for but ruined your promise because of this shameless Mistress." Ricardo spat.
He was angry and hurt.
I won't blame Ricardo for hating me. Maybe he thought I was a replacement for his mother, but that had never crossed my mind; I would never take over Rebecca's position or even his position as Don Lorenzo's son.
The doctor was watching everything and it was embarrassing.
"Doctor, come with me." Don Lorenzo said, glanced at me one more time, and left with the doctor, leaving only me with Ricardo. My worst nightmare!
"Are you happy now!" He shouted, looking like he was about to explode.
