Chapter 5: Feeling Misplaced

Lara has put in all the efforts to help Rosalie settle into Evermore but no matter how hard she tries Rosalie keeps telling her that she still feels as if she doesn't belong. "Rosalie sweetie gives it some time things will get better" Rosalie decides to give it her best shot and opens up to a few people but she still can't shake the feeling she was out of place. It's been a year now at Evermore and Lara is waiting on Rosalie after preschool.

"Hello Lara how are you?" Rosalie says bubbly when she sees Lara. "I'm well and I have big news for you sweetie you getting a roommate." Lara tells Rosalie. Rosalie gets all excited as a little girl walks into the room. The little girl looks like she is scared to death so Rosalie walks over and tries to make the new girl feel better. "I'm Rosalie, I'll be your roommate." The girl smiles and replies "Im Lena" The girls become best friends as the day goes by. Years go by and Rosalie devotes herself into her school studies for it is the only true comfort she has found.

While sitting at her desk looking out at the dark sky lost in thought her roommate barges in. "Rosalie gets dressed and I don't wanna hear any grumbling about it either" Rosalie pivots around in her chair glaring at Lena. "Just where do you think we are going?"

“A girl only turns 18 once, plus it's your last day at Evermore Academy” Lena responds. Rosalie shrugs and decides not to fight her on it cause she will end up getting her way one way or the other. Lena has been like a sister ever since she came to Evermore 15 years ago. Rosalie goes over to her closet and browses her dresses. She grabs a short tight teal dress and goes to the bathroom to change." Lena, why am I the only one transfering tomorrow? "

Lena shrugs "I have no idea unless you're too advanced for our teachers here" she mocks. Rosalie glares at her from the mirror then walks to the bathroom door and Lena whistles making Rosalie's cheeks burn red. Lena grabs Rosalie's hand pulling her out of the house.They briskly walk down the dark path towards the woods.

Rosalie shuffles a little “Lena this isn't funny you know i don't like the woods'' Lena smiles as she pulls her on down in the woods when Rosalie sees the first faint glow of light. As they walk closer she hears music blasting and the smells of wood burning. Once they reach the clearing there's no one there or so it seems. Rosalie looks at Lena "killer par.." when everyone jumps out yelling happy birthday. Rosalie giggles and turns red "thank you guys". Lena and Rosalie dance till late and their feet begin to throb from wearing heels. Then the bell goes off alerting everyone that curfew was close; they all sluggishly walk back towards their room. "Thanks Lena I didn't know how much I needed that till now. Lets get some rest before class"
