SEVEN A string quartet played Vivaldi’s Four Seasons Spring as its tune floated from the windows of the pink stucco colonial mansion. As Marie approached closer, she admired the Greek portico and the majestic fanlight that hung over the door. The team ascended the stairs and made their way through the crowd and eventually found the entrance. A jester greeted them while standing on a lovely Georgian stairway. Guests decorated in luxurious costumes and masks filled the rooms as far as the eye could see. There was laughing, singing, and dancing as waiters wearing grey satin masks maneuvered trays filled with glasses of champagne among the attendees. Gale carefully grabbed two glasses and handed one to Tim. “These waiters look like the Lone Ranger.” Tim chuckled and took a sip of champagne
