My hands stayed on Onyx's face while we both stared at the door, which had been pulled open, revealing the nurses, doctor, Drey, and a stranger.
Onyx stood up abruptly; a knowing smile remained on the stranger's lips before they all walked in.
“We can leave you guys if that would be okay.” The doctor broke the silence, turning to the door when Onyx objected.
“There's no need to.” He seemed anxious because he kept rubbing both palms together. Something that happened to be new to me.
