Blood and Betrayal

Chapter Six: Blood and Betrayal The Adeyemi household was a battlefield where silence held as much weight as words. Each wife had made her move, but the war was far from over. Now, it was Solomon’s turn to strike back. --- Solomon’s Counterattack Solomon sat in his office, swirling a glass of whiskey as he studied the evidence Teni had thrown at him. She had been bold—too bold. He admired her audacity, but he wouldn’t be blackmailed in his own home. He picked up his phone and dialed his most trusted lawyer. “Draw up new estate documents. I want full control over inheritance distribution.” The voice on the other end hesitated. “Sir, that will—” “Just do it.” Solomon wasn’t a man who let women dictate his fate. His wives had grown too comfortable, too entitled. If they thought they could control him, they had forgotten who they were dealing with. He ended the call and leaned back, his mind already calculating his next move. First, he would deal with Teni. Then, Adanna. And finally, Yasmin. --- Adanna’s Revenge Plan Adanna was always ten steps ahead. The moment she received confirmation that Halima was four months pregnant, she knew she had to act fast. She called Desmond. “It’s time for damage control.” Desmond hesitated. “You want me to—” “Not yet,” Adanna interrupted. “We start small. Spread rumors. Leak information to the press. I want Solomon distracted.” Desmond exhaled. “Understood.” She ended the call, satisfied. Let Solomon handle a scandal while she secured her next move. --- Teni’s Dangerous Gamble Teni wasn’t naive. She knew Solomon would retaliate. That’s why she had a backup plan. She met with an old contact—a journalist known for exposing powerful men. “I have a story for you,” Teni said, sliding a folder across the table. The journalist flipped through the files, eyes widening. “This is… explosive.” Teni smiled. “I thought you’d like it.” She knew Solomon would come for her, but by the time he did, she’d already have him cornered. --- Yasmin’s Ruthless Play Yasmin knew she had to move fast. If Halima gave birth to a son, her own position would be at risk. She made a call. A low voice answered. “Yes?” “There’s a woman in Abuja,” Yasmin said softly. “I need her to disappear.” A pause. Then: “Understood.” Yasmin ended the call, her heart steady. She didn’t play fair. She played to win. --- The Storm Breaks By the end of the week, chaos erupted. News leaked that Solomon was funding a young woman in Abuja. The media swarmed, and his reputation took a hit. Teni’s journalist contact started investigating deeper, finding financial inconsistencies in Solomon’s dealings. Halima went missing. No one knew where she was. Solomon sat in his study, fists clenched. His own home had turned against him. But if his wives wanted war, he would show them what war truly meant. ---
