Death Won't Stop Me

I see..

"So where are we heading to now, hot legs?" Eddie asked.

Ana abruptly stopped and coldly looked at Eddie. She felt it beneath her to indulge this disgusting pig with his humors.

"Yellow river." She replied.

"What, are we taking a bath or something?" Eddie nonchalantly asked.

Ana felt her head aching because of this dumbass.

Yellow river is where souls that the guides deemed that were not deserving of rebirth were sent to take their lone journey to afterlife.

"Wait. Are you saying I'm gonna cross over? The guard back there said that I'm here for rebirth. Reincarnation! So why am I crossing over?" Eddie suddenly remembered something about the yellow springs or yellow river he once read on a book.

"You were assessed for rebirth, you didn't pass. You never even did a single good thing in your life." Ana icily replied.

"But aren't we all given a second chance? Redeem ourselves?" Eddie anxiously asked. He just now felt the gravity of his situation.

"You're already dead, what second chance are you talking about?" Ana said coldly. "Come on. Keep going." She added while continuing forward.

"No! This can't be.." Eddie couldn't accept that he would be spending his eternity "journeying" through the yellow river alone. He had to think of a way to escape. But to his disappointment, aside from the guides and souls roaming to and fro, all he could see were rooms same with the one he was led in earlier.

About half an hour walking forward, they came across two guides talking to each other. Eddie ears perked up with what he heard.

"So how was your mission on the mortal world?"

"Don't even ask. Its so hard to keep up with how fast mortals age! I had to speed up my face's aging. I don't want to look old when I'm not even close to a thousand years old. It creeps me out every time I look at the mirror."

"Oh come on! Its not that bad! Compared to here, where everywhere you look there's only souls and us guides, the mortals try to live different lives! I'd have fun living there if you ask me. Its like entertainment on the go."

"Yeah, I guess it wasn't that bad now that you've put it that way." "Guess I'd better start getting used to living here again."

"Hahaha!"

"That's it! Now where did those two came from? Hmm.." Eddie finally saw his ray of hope. He started looking for where those two came from.

Another few minutes of walking, He saw what he was looking for. Up front, to his right, there was an archway heading to a different hall. He saw a lot of guides coming and going from that hall. He craned his neck a little higher to see what was inside the hall.

"Jackpot!" Inside he thousands of cubicle like open rooms with no doors. He saw a guide go inside empty cubicle and stand. A swirling vortex suddenly grew at that guide's feet. That guide then started to fade out. The vortex then shrinked down to nothing like it was never there.

On another empty cubicle, he saw another vortex seemingly grew out of nowhere and another guide faded in. The guide walked out from the cubicle and the vortex also shrinked until it disappeared.

"That's my chance! Now how to get there without getting caught." Eddie started to formulate his "plan" for escape. His eyes suddenly lit up as if thinking about something. If you looked closer, you could see Eddie's face looked like those guys in cartoons where a light bulb suddenly lights up above their head and then shouts "Aha!" stupidly.

"That's it!" Eddie shouted in his mind as he walked forward grinning dumbly.

About a few more minutes of walking they were almost near the archway, Eddie started inching to the right. A few more steps and he was already almost walking side by side with Ana.

"Now!" Eddie shouted in his mind when they were right outside the hall.

"Hey hotlegs!" He shouted with his left hand simultaneously whipped aiming for Ana's right buttcheek.

Ana was startled. A sharp stinging pain was felt on her buttocks. It jolted her and a very cute sounding shout "ah!" escaped from her mouth. She shuddered from head to toe from the pain traveling from her butt. She looked like a kitten that had it's tail stepped on.

Ana's face started to blush as the feelings of anger, humiliation, and being violated kicked in. Her eyes flashed a purple hue while the air seemed to blow from where she stand and she slowly turned to look at Eddie.

"Here it comes~" Eddie gritted his teeth and squinted as he waited for the slap.

"YOU'RE DEAD!!!" Ana shouted from the top of her lungs.

With one step, she reached Eddie while lifting her left hand. Eddie was smiling in his heart as he tried his best to look scared of the oncoming punch. "Wait, what?"

"No! Wait! I'm sor-" *WHAM* Ana's fist looked like it sinked on Eddie's face. And in the next instant, his body flew away towards the cubicles.

As he was shooting off towards the cubicles, he managed to get a look at where he would be hitting. Luckily, his trajectory was towards an empty cubicle but he was not as happy as he thought he would be.

He looked and Ana while on the air and shouted "You b***h! I'll get you back for this!"

He's back slammed on the empty cubicle and when his feet landed, a vortex grew below him.

"Oh no!" Ana was pulled back to her senses at Eddie's ramblings. She realized his plans as she saw his trajectory. She jumped forward trying to catch up with Eddie but by the time she jumped, he was already fading out. Eddie sneered and he mouthed his words to her.

"Just you wait."

"Ahahaha! Serves you right! No one bullies Eddie." Laughing out loud as he was flying down towards the land, Eddie was feeling elated to be able escape from that place. To be able to escape from a god like beings, who else can boast like that?

"Hmm.. Now that I'm free, what to do?.. I'm just a soul now, so I guess I can't do anything a normal human can do." As he was thinking of things to do he arrived at a huge open ground stadium where lots of people were holding a ceremony.

"What's this? Graduation? Let's look"

"Wow college student girls! Hoowee!"

"Look at that gorgeous babe!"

"Mhm, mhm. Top grade."

"Wait, what am I doing looking at a distance? I'm a soul! Hehe.. Maybe I could also look inside.."

As he tried looking inside a girl's clothes, he suddenly felt a mild suction force when he was almost touching the girl.

"What's happening?" He backed up a little and tried touching the body again. He carefully used his finger to try toughing the girl.

The suction erupted with a little more force that the last time. "There it is again!"

He flew up to get away. "What is happening to me? What was that?"

He tried looking intently at the girls body. His eyes suddenly shined uncontrollably and his vision blanked. "What?! I can't see!" He got scared. All he could see was bright warm light.

Luckily, it didn't take a long time. His vision went back but there was something different. There was something added. When looking at the bodies, it's like he could see inside them.

"What are those?" Inside the bodies, he could see a light blue colored orb like thing floating in the middle and some kind of energy was seething from it as it traveled throughout their bodies. What's peculiar was the size and glow of the orbs differs from each bodies.

"Hmm." After hesitating a bit, he flew back towards a body. He tried to touch the body again and he still felt that suction from before. He saw that as his finger was getting sucked, part of his finger was dispersing like smoke and was heading towards the orb.

"I'm getting absorbed!" he felt a cold chill as he withdrew his hand from the body.

"So I can't touch a living body or I get absorbed? That's unfair!" He shouted to the heavens.

"No way will I get absored after all I've experienced back at that place just to escape!"

"You want to absorb me?! Heck, I'll absorb you!" He shouted angrily as he suddenly reached out towards the orb. As he saw his hand slowly getting absorbed, he realized that if he was fast enough, he could get to the orb before his hand disperses.

"Ahhh!" He willed himself to continue his hand towards the orb. When we got a good grip, he yanked out with all his might. He was elated to see the orb come out of the body.

At the same time the orb was taken from the body, it convulsed a little then it passed out. Shocking the people sitting next to it.

He didn't care much about the body as when he got the orb, he saw it disperse and got aborbed inside his body. He felt a surge of intense energy filling him. He felt that it was similar to the energy that the guides project when they were angry at him.

He felt like his whole body was being washed by warm water as the energy in his body was increasing. But this relaxing feeling was suddenly cut short. He looked at his body and he realized that the energy from that orb was all gone. He had absorbed the whole thing.

"I see.." He smiled cruelly as he looked around him seeing almost a thousand bodies with different sized orbs inside.
