Death Won't Stop Me

Who are you?

"Hah.. Hah.. Hah.." Jon panted as he stopped near the entrance to the fourth floor of the unfinished building. He could hear banging sounds even from two floors down. This was the floor where he saw the fighting was so he stopped rushing and tried to catch his breath.

"Hahaha. Come on! Where was that spunk when we first met? Is this all you got?" He heard a mocking voice inside as the banging sounds stopped for a while.

Jon peeked inside slowly as he tried to see what was going on.

Ana was standing near the edge of the floor using one side of a metal beam to support her standing while her left hand was holding her right arm. Blood was dripping from her right hand continuously. Bruises from different places in her body could be seen and blood was also streaking down her left eye from her head.

In her front was Eddie. But there were a lot of changes from him as the color of his skin was the same as a human and he did not appear as transparent anymore. He was playing with black colored fire on his left palm as he was looking at her, laughing and mocking her.

Above them was a little golden dragon almost a foot long fighting a black wolf head with a mist for a body. The mist sometimes turns into a paw with sharp nails as it swipes at the dragon, then sometimes turns to a sickle that then sneaks at the dragon's side or at it's back. The little dragon seemed to be having a hard time fighting it's opponent because of its flexibility and maneuverability.

"So, this is it, huh? After this I'm really free. I can't believe I was scared of you and kept on running. I should have taken care of you way before." Eddie mocked her again. "I wonder what happens when you guys die? Do you go to your own little heaven? Will you tell me when you get there?" He added as the black flame in his hand grew bigger.

"No. Ana!" Jon got anxious when he saw the flame got bigger and shouted in his mind as he rushed towards them.

Ana was disgruntled. She has already evolved to level four in just three months which is very fast in the spirit world's standard. But against Eddie, and even using enhancers to amplify her fighting power, she still felt lacking. She felt it ridiculous to fall to the hands of a creep that was not even worthy of having a chance for rebirth. 

"I'm sorry, big brother." Ana closed her eyes and waited for the inevitable.

As Eddie flung the flame in his hand, a shadow suddenly sped from his right, it was too fast for him to react as the shadow was already in front of Ana blocking the flame.

*BOOM* His flame collided with the shadow and the whole floor quaked. Some parts of the ceiling and floor cracked from the vibrations of the impact. 

Ana opened her eyes a few breaths after the sound. She saw a silhouette inside the smoke rising from the blasts. 

The dragon and the wolf stopped fighting and return to their owner's sides and both cautiously looked at the person inside the smoke.

As the smoke was starting to dissipate, they both saw a well built man wearing a black business suit attire. In this two months of training coupled with his meditation, Jon's body drastically changed. From his former slightly chubby body, his whole body was now a well toned body. He was now about a head taller than before. His face's few youthful features were now gone. Wearing his business attire just makes his body's shape more noticeable.

"Big brother?" Ana was teary eyed as she looked at the broad back that shielded her from that attack just now. Seeing that the one who came to her rescue was wearing a business attire, she thought it was her big brother that saved her.

"What?! You! How come you're still alive! I thought I already absorbed all your seed!" She suddenly heard Eddie screaming at the person between them.

"Hiss.. That was a close call." Jon thought to himself. Earlier, his body just rushed out suddenly, he did not even know if he could block that flame. When he was already in front of that flame, he just shouted in his mind : "Ahh.. What the hell! All or nothing!" and just punched out. But as that punch almost hit the flame, he felt his seed suddenly burst forth a torrent of energy that traveled to his fist and shot towards that black flame. He was a little shocked and relieved as he saw a bluish light appeared on his fist and managed to even out the flame's power.

He was looking at his still smoking right hand when he heard the hysterical shouts of Eddie as he was pointing at him with his eyes full of disbelief. 

He smirked towards Eddie as he felt disinclined to talk to this maniac. "Again!" He shouted as he shot towards Eddie with his fist forming another punch, this time, he manually urged his seed to erupt with the same power that coated his fist earlier. He was elated to find out that the power that burst from his seed this time was at least three folds stronger than the one it automatically released.

Sensing the pressure from Jon's incoming fist, Eddie did not neglect it as he shouted : "Go!" And that mist wolf companion of his dashed out towards Jon.

As he saw that mist like wolf dash towards him, he heard Ana shouting behind him. "Nugget!" A gold light flashed to his left and he saw the little dragon entangle with that wolf again.

Even though she could not see her savior's face, seeing as he dashed towards Eddie after the collision, she felt he was there to help her. So she focused on Eddie to what his reactions to this newcomer would be so she did not miss a beat to call out her dragon to distract his wolf. And she dashed to the other side to add more pressure to him.

Eddie was flustered as he saw his wolf get entangled with the little dragon, unable to get away for a time. So he threw a fist of his own, covered with his own energy towards the incoming fist.

Another bang was heard as they both got pushed a few steps back but Eddie was shocked that the other guy shot right back up after being pushed back. He felt annoyed at this newcomer as he foiled his perfect win over his huntress. "Ah..!" Eddie shouted as he started a slugfest with Jon.

After a few exchanges with Eddie, Jon felt the difference between them and immediately knew that he could only keep up with him for a few more minutes. Fortunately, Ana saw his interference as a chance to overwhelm Eddie and kept on sending punches from the side.

She was a little bit unsure as to who this guy helping her is, even when she was able to see his face as she glanced at him from time to time. But she knew that now was not the time for her questions as their battle is now tipping towards them.

"Argh!" Eddie grunted as he was hit by one of Ana's amplified fist energy. So he turned around in madness to shoot a fist towards her.

"Chance!" Jon did not miss this opportunity as he leaped and did a roundhouse kick as he urged his seed to channel it's full power towards this kick.

In his moment of madness, Eddie forgot that Jon's power could almost rival his albeit for a time. As he shot that fist towards Ana on his left, Jon's foot connected to his right rib, and he was shot to the wall of the unfinished building. Spider web cracks formed in the wall, all the way to the ceiling and the floor.

As Ana dodged the to her right, she saw Jon's foot connect and she immediately pulled out her new containment bottle and she shot towards Eddie's trajectory. As soon as Eddie slammed towards the wall, Ana opened the bottle and threw it towards Eddie and formed a seal with her left hand as she chanted something and the bottle immediately sucked Eddie inside. She reacted immediately and quickly put the cork and slapped the same talisman she used before. Then the bottle shined brightly for a few breaths then everything calmed down sealing Eddie within. Eddie's companion, dissipated with a howl as the light shined.

"Hah.." Ana breathed out exhaustedly as she walked towards the bottle. The little dragon flashed to her side and perched on her shoulder, resting.

Jon was watching Ana go towards the bottle as he was panting heavily after this ordeal. His business suit was already in bits and pieces and his upper body was showing. He felt like he was sweating buckets as this was the first time in three months that he really exerted all that he could, even with his seed.

As Ana was about to reach the bottle, Jon saw a very fast shadow flash from the opened side of the unfinished building and rushed towards Ana.

"Watch out!" Even before he finished his sentence, Ana was struck and flew towards the open, unfinished side of the building. He shot towards her as fast as he could.

He jumped up from the ledge to catch her without thinking of anything else. As he caught her, he realized that she was unconscious so he turned her in midair with his body shielding her from the impact as they fell towards the ground.

"Ugh.." Ana woke up seconds after the fall. She saw Jon was lying underneath her, unconscious with his arms around her. She felt his well toned abs since Jon's shirt and suit were already shredded to pieces after their fight with Eddie. She barely had time for a blush to rush up to her face when she heard a cough.

She looked up and saw a man sitting on the ledge of the second floor looking at them. He was wearing a black hoodie and ripped jeans. He was wearing a ring on each finger on his left hand connected by chains to a silver bracelet.

"Little miss, we happened to like this guy's potential, so we'll be keeping him from now on. I hope you don't mind." He said as he smiled at Ana as he held up the bottle where Eddie was currently sealed. "Oh, and thank you for restraining this little pup, would have given me a headache to reel him in with his personality." He added.

"Who are you? Who's we?" Ana did not miss the man's meaning that he was not alone.

"Haha. Don't be anxious. You'll know soon enough. Tell your "Higher Ups" that we'll be seeing them soon." The man laughed mysteriously as he vanished on the spot even as his last words finished.

She looked at the spot where the man was sitting for a little while then she looked at the unconscious Jon. She whispered to herself as she tucked the hanging hair on her face to  left ear. "Who are you?"
