Ian scrambled through the window and dropped to the ground, hiding behind an overgrown shrub. He scanned the cemetery and the lane beside it. No one was watching. Tombstones and crosses poked from the soil, scattered across the grounds, hidden among bushes and trees that sheltered the graves in shade. He hurried across the cemetery, staying where shrubs were thickest. It stretched a hundred feet north, the church entrance to his left, where Duncan and his men might be waiting; Second St. was to his right. When he reached the short brick wall that defined the graveyard, he climbed over it and stepped into the alley.
