“It makes no sense,” Patrick said. “The British just put Hart in charge of the port.”
“Do you think it’s a trap?”
“I wouldn’t act on it,” Patrick said. “Especially after what Abigail told you.”
“But if true, it could be a great opportunity. I’m sure he knows many British secrets.”
“I’m sure he does, too,” Patrick agreed. “But why would he be willing to share them?”
