My eyes fluttered open, and I bit back a curse as a stinging headache hit me. "f**k!"
"Mistress, are you alright?" a voice asked. I turned with the speed of lightning despite the pain throbbing in my head.
"I... I'm sorry, ma'am, I didn't mean to startle you," an older woman apologized as I struggled to regain my composure.
"What... What are you doing here?" I asked, wanting to move, but she suddenly held my arm down, which startled me again.
"What the f**k are you doing?" I asked, not liking her behavior a bit, but she just gave me a smile.
"There's an IV set in your hand, and any more sudden movement can..."
