I helped my grandmother into one of her wheeled chairs and then her nurse took over. She required help in the bathroom and no matter how much I said I would assist her, she refused to allow me to. I understood her reasoning, it was more about saving her dignity than anything else, but I also wanted her to realise that there was nothing I would not do for her.
