Ch 10. Taking The Leap

The moment Blaire had fainted again was the moment Draven sighed and cursed in his head. That girl fainted more then any other human he’s known. Of course before she hit the floor,  Draven caught her and cradled her against his chest. He sighed and kissed the top of her head. “We will get through this...”. Now he wasn’t to sure if he was trying to reassure her, or himself. Not knowing how long she would be out for, Draven decided to carry her upstairs and set her down on his bed.  At least here she would be safe from falling and hurting herself. He hovered for a little bit, needing to know if she was alright. When she stirred and opened her eyes, he chuckled and winked. “Welcome back”

Oh great, she had fainted once again. Blaire knew she had been doing that a lot lately but he couldn’t blame her, she’s had a very interesting life so far. She sat up and brushed her fingers through her hair, glancing over at him. “I’m sorry Draven, I didn’t mean to faint. I’m not even to sure why I did”. Blaire sighed before she dramatically fell back onto the bed.

“Well, learning that you have to give up your humanity to be with me would make anyone faint I’m sure” Draven chuckled and ran his hand down his face.

“I guess so, but learning I have to become immortal wasn’t as scary as seeing my parents dead” She chewed on her lip and watched as he closed the distance between them.

Draven sat on the bed next to her and gently pulled her into him, having her straddling his waist. He ran his hands along her sides and moved her raven coloured hair off her shoulders. “You don’t have anything to be afraid of, and there is no rush either”

“I know there isn’t any rush, I just have this feeling deep in my gut that if I don’t commit to it soon, I’ll either talk myself out of it or something will happen” Blair shrugged as she ran her fingers along his chest. 

“Nothing will happen, and there is no rush. Yes I want us to be mated and tied together for the rest of eternity, but I also want you to want it. Not just agree to it because it’s what I want. If we live out your life as a human then I will gladly end my life when you leave me and be reunited with you in the spirit world” He smiled and dipped his head down to kiss her forehead. 

“I know, I just have this feeling in the pit of my stomach” 

“Well love if it makes you feel better we can do it whenever you want, and then figure the rest out”

Blaire thought for a moment and nodded. She ran her fingers along his chest more as she lost herself. Was it to soon? She had only met him not to long ago. Was she really wanting to spend eternity with this sexy man?. She smiled and looked up at him. Her blue eyes meeting his ice blue ones. “I want to. I want you to make me fully yours and introduce me into a new life”

Draven knew his breath hitched in his throat, hearing those words from her made his demon side and everything else stir. He was sure his c**k had hardened under her as well. He nodded and dipped his head to kiss her neck, grazing his fangs along her skin. “As you wish love, I’d love nothing more then to make you mine” he chuckled against her skin.

This was it, Blaire was taking the leap forward and asking Draven to claim her and mate them. Her heart leaped in her chest as she felt his fangs along her neck as he kissed her skin, she had to bite back a small moan, god how he made her body feel. The little sparks his touch caused, the butterflies and the need. Never in a million years did she think a man could do this to her, and you know what? She was loving every moment of it.
