A couple days later
Blaire was feeling a lot better, her wound was healing faster then it would normally would have. Of course, if it wasn't for Draven she would still be in agony. The healing abilities his blood had were amazing, part of her couldn't wait to see what else he could do. A small smile crossed her lips.
For the first time in a week or so, the sky was clear. The hurricane was gone. There was so much she could see now that everything was clear, however she didn't want to stray too far from the house. Blaire walked over to the living room window, the shutters were up. She was almost compelled to go outside, but what happened last time made her re-think.
Looking out, she noticed that Draven was down in the yard. Blaire wasn't to sure what he was doing but she was curious. She headed to the front door, opening it. The sun was bright, she had to stop and let her eyes adjust. A few minutes later she walked over to Draven.
Draven has decided that it was a good day to do some clean up around the yard. If Blaire wanted to go out and explore, he would feel so much better if she didn't fall and impale herself again. Before long he caught her scent, looking up he noticed she was on her way towards him. Giving her a smile when she reached him, he motioned to the stone bench. The two of them sat down, she was enjoying the outside.
Draven looked over at her "how are you feeling?"
Blaire looked at him and smiled "I'm actually feeling okay, my side doesn't hurt as much anymore"
"Im glad to here that" He gave her a smile.
They sat together for a while. Blaire had a lot on her mind, she had a weird pull towards him. Ever since he gave her his blood, she felt connected with him. She needed to be near him, with him. Blaire couldn't explain it, she had a feeling tho if she brought it up, Draven would know what it was.
Almost as if on cue, Draven looked over at her. "Are you alright Blaire? You look a little lost"
Blaire looked at him, then straight ahead. "I think so, ever since you gave me your blood though. I've been feeling a little strange..." she paused, trying to figure out how to explain this to him without sounding completely ridiculous. "I feel a pull towards you."
Draven nodded as he spoke, the pull wasn't a new thing. It may have taken her a bit longer to feel it then he did. "The pull is normal, the mate mark is a big part of it. Because you took my blood to heal, the pull has taken a stronger effect then it normally would have. However, Its only going to get stronger from here" He put his hand on her knee, trying to comfort her. He understood that this was still all new to her, a new world.
Blaire put her hand on top of his, she was trying to learn all this as she went. She hoped she was doing better at it then she had thought. She looked at him, she didn't know where to go from here. So, instead of babbling on, she moved so she was sitting closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder.
Draven smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist, he held her against him. It felt nice to have her this close to him.
They continued to sit there for a couple hours, just in silence. Draven couldnt remember the last time this happened to him. He noticed that the air started to cool off, looking up. He noticed that the sun was starting to set.
He looked down at her "why dont we go inside? seems the sun is setting on us"
Blaire smiled and nodded, she was started to feel the coolness of the night air. "Okay, that sounds like a good idea"
Draven stood up with her, he kept his arm wrapped around her waist. The two of them walked towards the front door. Once inside, he turned to her. "So i was thinking, because you have no other place to go....." He paused, rubbing his hand down the back of his neck "Why don't you stay here with me?."
She looked up at him, completely shocked that he had asked her to live with him. For the first time in 6 months she was happy. This was just icing on the cake. She smiled and nodded "id love to, i promise i wont be a burden and ill help anyway i can"
Draven smiled "good, and you're not a burden Blaire. You're homeless, you had a hard past as well as you are my destined mate. Id rather you stay here then have to figure out you next meal" Sure that didnt sound how he wanted it to, but it was true. "Even if you weren't my mate i would have asked you to stay for as long as you liked"
She nodded, she was glad he had asked her to stay. Blaire wouldn't have known what to do if she had to leave. "Thank you Draven". Blaire turned to face him, she reached up and ran her hand along his chest. Before she knew it, she leaned up on her tippy toes and kissed him. She couldn't stop herself.
Draven smiled against her lips, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into him. Her lips were soft. Her lips parted against his, allowing his tongue to find access. Her taste was exotic, her scent was intoxicating.
Blaire felt her heart speed up against her chest, her body tight against his. Her chest pushed up against his. She closed her eyes and continued to kiss him. She felt a fire in her gut, a strong need for him. She wanted him, and by the feel of him, he wanted her to.
