~Kael~ This morning, I was still tangled in sleep when a soft, lingering melody drifted through the air. I listened until the notes drew me fully awake. I pushed back the covers, stepped out of the room, and followed the sound. On the terrace, Lyra sat before a piano. Her face was turned slightly, sunlight tracing the curve of her cheek, long hair tucked behind one ear. Her fingers moved fluidly over the keys, her sheer robe catching the breeze. Every gesture of her was just so delicate and beautiful. Even the light seemed to follow her. For a long moment, I just watched. Spellbound. Then the melody faltered.
