Lately, I’d started to notice more weight creeping up on me, softening me in places I used to pride for their angles. Especially my jawline, it had grown into something rounder, fuller.
“You’ve been checking the mirror more often lately,” Gideon remarked as he walked in.
“If someone pointed out your changing jawline every day, you’d be obsessing over the mirror too.”

Gideon chuckled. “It’s normal to gain weight. Your pup is growing.”
