EXPERIMENT 101

Chapter 15: Asharika's Disbelief

Asharika felt her body already got a lot of holes because of the dagger of the people that been throwing at her, also known as glared. 

She really hates being on the ship because she was always been looking at her like she had killed their loved ones. It was better to be with her friends, Janine, Jenievib, and Rot, they are much better people...  

She paused as she thought of those 3 names. 

"Janine? Jenievib? Rot? Who are they?" then sudden dizziness delt in her head as her body almost fall out, but held on to the table nearby, as some memories started to flow to her mind like a great current, making her feel as if being pounded by the hammer. 

She then sits on the chair near the table, because she can only see a fuzzy image in front of her.  

"Ms. Asharika, here is your food." No.608 says as he gave the tray of food toward Asharika. 

Asharika looks up to no.608 only to see the unrecognizable face. She then closes her eyes, and inhale, exhales. 

When she opens it she saw the tray of food in front of her. "Thank you," she says in her knitted brow then takes the tray of food with quivering hands, but because her hands were shaking, it falls on the ground gaining people peering at her, at the same time a dark cloud surrounded her eyesight. 

Inside Asharika's brain... 

The broken tissue was mending, little by little they are starting to recover. As the connection of each nerve was starting to reconstruct. At the same time, the pictures which are the memories of Asharika started to go back in her mind. 

Asharika opens her heavy eyes, seeing the milky way on the ceiling. 

"Where am I?" She then tried to sit down but the sudden dizziness made it hard for her to do so. 

She then remembers some of the things that have a connection with her 3 humex friends, including the letter. 

"Timeus." She whisper. 

Her attention was caught up by the robotic sound of beeping, at the door. It was an old man who been with her all this time, No.608, who is carrying the tray. 

"Miss Asharika, I brought you food." 

Asharika smiles at No.608 and mouthed 'thank you'. Then she looks at the side, where the wall is, and the buttons for the room are. 

She presses the button which makes her bed in a slant-sitting position and then presses the button for the bed table. Then her bed does so, and from the wall, a metal table pops out, just enough for the person to eat. No. 608 then brought down the food on the table and a glass of water and milk. 

"Thank you" then Asharika ate her food, gaining some of her strength back. She then looks at No.608 direction "Where is Timeus?" 

"Master Timeus is at the meeting right now, Miss Asharika." 

"I need to see him." 

"Master Timeus is at the meeting." 

Asharika presses her lips, forming into a thin line.  

She then goes down from her bed but falls to the ground when she felt it shakes. She looks up to see the milky way ceiling changing back to normal. 

She tries once more to stand up while holding to the wall. 

"RED ALERT! RED ALERT!" 

Then the light blinks with red lights. As the door suddenly opens. 

Asharika went out of the door and behind her was No.608. 

"Miss Asharika, where are you going?" 

"Timeus." She answers while watching the running people outside. 

She joins their current flow, bringing her to the hallway where the floating screen showing what happening outside. 

Her body felt cold, as her heartfelt being squeezes, as her eyes shrink watching the situation. 

"No... Way..." She can feel her eyes starting to warm up as the water was about to fall. "Why..." 

She can't take the things that she is currently seeing. "No way, this is not real. Why is he doing such?" 

The floating screen shows the people outside who were suffering and crying, trying to enter inside the camp but their body is already turned black. The others have grabbed one of the people as he bites him, from their mouth a worm came out, entering the victim, then turning them the same as the black man with white eyes. 

Some of them have burst out. Showing their internal organs. 

Then the tears that been holding by her eyes, fall on her cheeks. And every drop felt like a nail in her heart, killing her softly. 

"Why. Heh." Asharika looks at the man who just spoken. He has a muscular body, bald head, dark skin and one of his eyes has a patch on it. On his waist was a gun. 

"Humex are heartless monsters that's why." He added as he clenches his fist. "They kill and destroy people. They are the most disgusting being in this world. They should just all be destroyed!" His eyes were already turning red in anger. 

Asharika looks at the man's eyes. "They are not monsters. They were human who been experimented on."

"Human. Heh. Those d.man Humex are monsters!!! Can't you see how that d.mn thing killing our soldier!"

People attention then look at them. 

In their eyes was accusation toward her. It was as if everyone's hatred was unto her. 

"H-how can you be certain that they are not being controlled? What if the reason that they are doing such is that someone is controlling them." 

"BULLSHIT! Are you blind?! Can't you see that d.mn monster is laughing as he killed?!" 

Of course, she can see it. But that is impossible, in her heart, she believes that what she is seeing is a lie. She was once saved by them. That's why she believes they were being controlled. 

She clenches her fist as she looks at the man's eye as if not seeing his fiery eyes. 

"They are not monsters." 

She saw him laugh maniacally, "You, you are one of them, aren't you? That's why you keep on protecting him." Then he gets his gun on his waist as pointed it at her. 

She felt cold in her heart. As she looks around. No one wants to save her. They all wanted her dead. 

"You are also the same as they, Aren't you?!" 

Asharika looks at the muzzle as the man then started to click the trigger, ready to shoot.
