"Can we come as well?" Jane and Madison asked.
"I'm sorry but you can't. Only members invited are allowed to attend the meeting."
"That's stupid," Jane complained. "Salem must be miserable for being locked up."
"Do you believe they're hurting her?" she asked.
"I don't know but if she refuses to do so, they have any right to."
Madison and Jane became very worried.
The thought of them putting a hand on her angered me.
"I have to go now; I don't want to be late."
