10 Helen sipped her tea, unable to hide the smile on her face. “So, you actually went on a date?” “It was just coffee.” “But she knocked on your door, she took you up on the offer. This is good.” She took another sip. “And yes, it was a date.” “I don’t know about—” “A date, and I’ll not hear you call it anything else,” she said, then chuckled. “Oh, Brian, I’m so proud of you.” Brian blushed. “It’s nothing, really.” “Of course it is.
