I trust Delta wholeheartedly but I can't stop myself from worrying from time to time. It's been two days since she went with Maxim. Two days since she wasn't beside me.
"She's my High Lady. She will destroy them," Bryen would say over the silence of our dinner. I know they're all worried but at the same time, they have as much trust in Delta the way I do. She defended Varsis after all.
I was by the foyer when Aliana came to me. She was holding something and I knew instantly what it was and where it came from.
"From the South," she merely said and gave the letters.
I knew they're from Delta. And I know what they are before I even opened them.
